We never know when a tragedy Is coming into our life because they come by surprise, unexpected. Sometimes it may look like something simple but it may be major.
£ Responding to Tragedy: £
• my ways are not your ways neither are my thoughts your thoughts
•learn to trust god when we don't understand.
•what were the tragedy in your life? What did you do? And what should you do towards the tragedy happening around us?
•The tragedies seem to be increasing day by day.
• 2nd Corinthian 1: 3-10
• Our safety is only to be found under god. He is the only one who can protects us.
• This is a fallen world, there are going to be tragedies.
¥• Express our compassion and concern for the suffering and sorrowing.
• I don't have to know someone to have compassion for them.
• Compassion Is the attitude of a true believer.
• God is the god of all comfort.
• It is the responsibility of a true believer to be compassionate, kind and loving. In order to do so you have to put yourself aside.
¥• exercise our courage to face the dangers that confront us with confidence and faith in god.
• Psalms 27:1 and Psalms 56: 3
•if you don't have a relationship with god you don't have confidence with anything in this world.
•being that Those who we think we have confidence with in this world, prove to be unfaithful and end up disappoint us.
¥ • exercise would god given responsibilities to bring justice those who purposely seek to harm and destroy our freedom.
• loving someone doesn't mean you accept their way of life or forgetting what they have done. It's remembering without feeling resentment or a grudge towards the person.
• when you love someone you ask yourself what's best for them.
• the way we human think is I did it once and got away with it, so I can do it again and get away with it.
• forgiving means you don't hold it against them but they still need to pay the penalty of their actions.
¥• To enquire our Heavenly Father as to why he has allowed this to happen.
• god is loving but righteous and Just.
• read the Old Testament, God's attitude towards sin and immorality.
And contemplate what we see happening around us.
• people justify their actions by saying god is a god of love and that you'll get to heaven no matter what but not everyone is going there you have be a follower of Christ and follow his ways and his teachings.
• god answer the prayers of his children when they come in the right mind, when they ask with an open and sincere heart.
• were asking god to violate his own nature by ignoring our immorality and the things going around us.
•many ask why do you let things happen?
• does god plan the events that occur? No Does he knows about it before hand? yes. Then Why doesn't he prevent it then?
If god is not in charge then who is? If god could not have prevent it what does it imply? Why did he allow it to happen?
• doctors who practice abortions are just as Guilty of tragedy just as those who go killing buildings full of people.
• God knows what is going on.
• it was not his will, but he permitted it to happen. His permissive will. He will let you disobey if you insist but there is a consequence to that.
•God puts you back in line when you astray from the path.
•why did god permit the tragedy that happened in Boston?
• why did he allow 9/11 to happen?
When 3000 people lost their life.
• After 9/11 the church were full of people praying but three weeks after they were back to their old ways.
• So is god sending us a warning through this tragedy?
• we have a society that us becoming more and more corrupt.
• look at the society that your children are growing up in.
• the stuff the senators are voting for, the situation with marriage. People walking around nude and calling it freedom.
• we are doing everything we possibly can do to violate the will of god.
• Are we trying to move god out of our society?
• the cross is prohibited to have around because the society does not want to be reminded of their sins.
• we has teachers asking students to write the name of Jesus in a piece of paper and step over it.
• what became wrong with the name of Jesus and the cross? (Reference to the teacher that told student to stomp on the name of Jesus on a piece of paper.)
• it's something in them. The cross represent God, and sinful man who want to and need to be safe. And they can't stand it because it impulses conviction.
• what happen in Boston is just the beginning.
• we push god and push him and he is pushing back his cover.
• we are going to shut down the churches and commit immorality and do all the wrong things. When we push god to his limit he would pull back his cover and give us what we asked for.
• this is the time to stand up and be courageous. If not now when?
• who's higher then god, nobody.
• if we all stand up for what we know its right we can change this nation.
• Endeavor to discover the good that can come from this situation.
• what good can we see coming out of this?
• it was a beautiful example to the nation of how we should respond in a time of need.
• Life is going to be forever but not here.
• stop and think of how your living your life.
•what happen in Boston is an awareness of the terrorist set to destroy our nation.
• We are the wall against ungodliness
• The only way to protect ourselves is trusting in god.
•prepare our selfs for what is coming.
• it's time for you to stand up, in your circumstances lovingly and kindly and speak the truth to the people around you. You are their hope.
• We are to be godly and sanctified. We are to be salt and light in a world that is very very dark.
• Trust in Jesus your savior.
• Ask for forgiveness, you need Jesus in your life. Have faith in him and his death upon the cross. Turn your life over to him.
• The judgement hand of god Is near.
