We are truly sorry to hear about the racial discrimination and harassment you are facing. First, we want to assure you that God sees your struggle, and He cares about you deeply. In Psalm 34:17-18 WEB, it is written, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We must remember that God's promises do not mean we will not face trials and tribulations. In fact, Jesus Himself said, "In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world" John 16:33 WEB. The promise of favor with God and men does not exempt us from difficulties, but it assures us that God is with us and working on our behalf.
Regarding the racism and harassment, God calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44 WEB. This does not mean we should accept or tolerate their behavior, but rather, we should respond with love and forgiveness, knowing that vengeance belongs to God alone Romans 12:19 WEB.
We should also stand up for ourselves and seek justice in a peaceful and respectful manner. This could mean documenting the incidents, reporting them to the appropriate authorities, or seeking legal counsel. Remember, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" Romans 12:21 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing racial discrimination and harassment. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround them in this difficult time. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, and that Your justice would prevail. Help them to respond with love and forgiveness, and guide them in seeking a resolution to this issue.
We also pray for those who are perpetrating these acts. We ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the harm they are causing. We pray that they would come to know You and be transformed by Your love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God and His promises. He is faithful, and He will see you through this difficult time. Remember, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11 WEB.
