There are many verses about seeking the Lord. Here are a few:
Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
1 Chronicles 16:10
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
Psalm 34:10
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
Psalm 119:2
Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Matthew 7:7, Luke 11:9
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Amazing isn’t it. This is just a few of the verses on seeking the Lord. So my question to all of you is where do you seek him? Do you look at the church, do you look at your pastor, do you look in the bible or do you look on Christian blog site?
All of these places are good places to seek God, but when we are seeking the Lord have you noticed that you can see him in everything. AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING!!!!
I love crime shows and cartoons, have you noticed all of the biblical references made on these shows. A lot of them are subtle because they don’t want to be censored, but they are there. Here are a few examples:
Watching Bones, Angela is looking for her husband to divorce him to marry Hodges, the investigator tell Hodges that majority of the time they always go back to their husbands and wives.
Was watching batman beyond one day and it was when Terry found out he had the same DNA as Bruce, The lady from CAMDEN started talking about God and how yes she believes in him and she has a lot to answer for.
On NCIS, Ducky is at a crime scene and starts telling the story of the good Samaritan
Stabler on SUV always talks about his faith and so does Booth on BONES.
If we seek God we will see him in everything. Reading the news today Tebow is praying for Hernandez.
There was an article in my local paper about baptisms by water
An MP stated his beliefs about the bible and the other MPS started stating theirs, and our Premiers calmly stated that his beliefs will in no way be shaken by others.
If we are earnestly seeking God we will see him in everything. From wonders of nature to the OP attacking us. To me knowing that God’s hand is in everything gives me such peace. We are all seeking the Lord in our situation with our marriages, but how many of you are actually seeing the Lord at work. If you spouse call you and argues, let’s think about that, you had to be on his mind for him to call you. There is God.
If the OP is angry with you or your spouse and neither one of you have done anything that is God.
If your spouse is hiding something from you, so he lies and says something else to spare your feelings, he caring about your feeling is God, God will reveal you the truth when needed.
In every situation you come across in life God has a hand in it. You just have to look. When there are two ways to look at a situation use the word and look at it in a positive way. For example my h was at the hospital, I took him there. I stepped a few steps behind him so that he can tell them his address, because I knew he didn’t want me to know. Later I found out that he gave them my address as his home address, I could have taken that well he did that so I won’t know his address but instead I thought about Philippians 4:8 and said well he has said he has put it out there in the universe so it will come to pass as the bible tells me there is life and death in the power of the tongue. He also changed his next of kin to me, not this is after being separated for 17 months, which was definitely God.
So instead of dwelling in my husband’s mind and trying to figure what it was he was thinking, I looked for God in it, and praised God through it. As long as we continue to seek God in everything we will have peace. Just know that he is there in the mist of everything.
