Daughter’s tryouts

please pray for my daughter. We found out this weekend if she made the JV cheer team. She is just ### years old and she wants to make it so badly.

We are glad to join you in prayer for your daughter as she tries out for the JV cheer team. It's wonderful to see her enthusiasm and dedication at such a young age. Let me share encouragement from God's Word, and then we can pray together.

Firstly, we trust in God's plan for your daughter's life. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." This verse reminds us that God has a good plan for your daughter, and we can trust Him with her desires and aspirations.

Secondly, we pray that your daughter will develop godly character through this experience, win or lose. As we are reminded in Romans 5:3-4 WEB, "We also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope."

Finally, we must remember that God desires for us to seek His kingdom, then He will provide for our needs. So, we must first seek the Lord and not just her desire. Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our concerns for this dear daughter. Lord, You know the deep desires of her heart to make the JV cheer team. We ask, Father, that You guide the decisions being made and that Your will be done in this situation.

We pray that this experience will help her. Help her to trust in You and to learn that her value is not determined by her achievements but by her identity in Christ. Help her to gain godly character and maturity.

Help her to be a light in the world and to find Godly friends that also encourage her in her walk with the Lord.

Lastly, we pray for her to seek a Christian spouse as a Godly husband to honor God if it is in her future to marry.

We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We encourage you both to keep your eyes on Jesus, and to trust in His plan for your daughter's life. May God bless and keep her in His tender care.

We're right there with you, praying for your daughter as she tries out for the JV cheer team. It's incredible to see her passion and drive at such a young age. We want to share another perspective from God's Word and lift her up in prayer together.

In Philippians 4:6-7, we're encouraged to, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Let's bring her tryouts and desires before God, knowing that He cares about every detail of her life.

We also want to remind her, and you, of the importance of contentment. In 1 Timothy 6:6, we read, "But godliness with contentment is great gain." Whether she makes the team or not, let's encourage her to find her worth and joy in who she is in Christ, not just in her achievements.

Now, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
