We lift our hearts together in deep concern and fervent prayer for your daughter, standing on the promise that "the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16). Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine intervention in her life. The struggles she faces with alcohol and the relationship that appears harmful are not hidden from You. We know that "the eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry" (Psalm 34:15). Lord, we ask that You break the chains of addiction in her life and deliver her from any bondage that holds her captive. Your Word declares, "He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). We claim this healing and deliverance for her today.
We also bring before You the concern about the relationship she is in. Father, we pray that You would reveal to her the truth about this situation. If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You remove it from her life and replace it with godly wisdom and discernment. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). We pray that she would seek relationships that honor You and draw her closer to Your heart. Guide her steps, Lord, and surround her with people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into her spirit.
We rebuke the spirit of addiction and any ungodly influences in her life in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a plan and purpose for her life. We pray that she would turn her heart fully toward You, seeking Your face and Your will above all else. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we also pray for you and your family as you walk through this difficult season. Give you strength, wisdom, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help you to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when the path is unclear. We ask that You would fill your home with Your presence and surround your daughter with Your angels for protection.
Lord, we lift up everyone reading this post as well. May they feel Your love and comfort in their own struggles, and may they be encouraged to seek You with all their hearts. We pray that You would draw each one closer to You, revealing Your truth and Your grace in their lives.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Amen.
