We lift up this precious daughter to the Lord, trusting in His perfect will for her life. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that You guide her steps today as she goes into this interview. Lord, You know the plans You have for her—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that if this job is part of Your good and perfect plan for her, You would open the door wide and grant her favor in the eyes of those interviewing her. May she walk in confidence, not in her own strength, but in the assurance that You are with her, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
If this opportunity is not Your best for her, Lord, we ask that You close this door gently and open another that aligns more fully with Your purpose for her life. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Give her peace that surpasses all understanding as she waits on You, and fill her with hope as she seeks Your will in all things.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for her as she considers her future. May she seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to her (Matthew 6:33). Remind her that her worth is not found in a job or any earthly success, but in the fact that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to walk in obedience to Your Word, for Your Word is a lamp to her feet and a light to her path (Psalm 119:105).
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to creep into her heart today. We declare that God has not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the promise that You will supply all her needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). May she rest in the knowledge that You are her provider, her protector, and her guide.
Lord, we also pray for her spiritual growth and relationship with You. Draw her closer to Your heart, and help her to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). May she be a light in her workplace, reflecting Your love and truth to those around her. Equip her with the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—so that she may be a witness for You in all she does (Galatians 5:22-23).
We commit this interview and her future into Your hands, Lord, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in her (Philippians 1:6). May she walk in the fullness of Your blessings, and may Your will be done in her life today and always. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
