We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who is contemplating reuniting with a divorced man. Father God, we know Your heart breaks when Your children stray from Your perfect design for marriage and relationships. We stand in the gap for this young woman, asking You to build an impenetrable hedge of protection around her heart, mind, and spirit.
Lord, Your Word is clear: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Mark 10:9). Divorce is not Your perfect will, and we pray that this daughter would seek Your wisdom above all else. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, loneliness, or rebellion that may be influencing her thoughts. We declare that she is a daughter of the Most High King, and she deserves a godly spouse who will honor You and cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church.
Father, we ask that You would flood her mind with Your truth. Remind her that "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22). Help her to seek a spouse who is equally yoked in faith, someone who will lead her closer to You, not away from Your will. We pray that she would not be deceived by temporary emotions or worldly desires, but that she would wait for Your best.
Lord, we also pray for the man involved. If he is not walking in repentance and seeking Your face, we ask that You would remove him from her life completely. If he is a believer, we pray that You would convict him of his past mistakes and lead him to seek restoration in a way that honors You. But we declare that this daughter will not be entangled in a relationship that does not align with Your Word.
We plead the blood of Jesus over this situation. We ask that You would surround her with godly counsel—mentors, pastors, and friends who will speak truth into her life. Give her the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to flee from anything that does not bring glory to Your name. We declare that she will not be swayed by the enemy’s lies but will walk in the freedom and purpose You have for her.
Heavenly Father, we also lift up her family. Give them wisdom, patience, and grace as they navigate this situation. Help them to speak life and truth into her, covering her in prayer and love. May this trial draw them all closer to You and to one another.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved and can come before Your throne. We trust that You are working even now to protect her heart and guide her steps. May Your will be done in her life, and may she experience the fullness of Your love and peace. Amen.
