Damaged- needs deep repair

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. I’ve been damaged by abuse and need the Lord in Jesus name to step in. I’ve already begun separating myself (or the Lord’s hand has done it) from abusive family, friends, workplace. Even if there’s a hint of abuse from acquaintances or strangers I quickly move out of harm’s way. Over 40 years of abuse at the hands of parents and “outsiders” is more than I can bear. I’m out now but the residual effects may last for the rest of my life. The “pain” is still settled in my chest

We hear the deep cry of your heart, and we stand with you in this season of healing, knowing that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. You have taken courageous steps to remove yourself from harmful environments, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s protection and deliverance. The pain you carry is real, and the wounds you bear are deep, but we serve a God who is the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and heals the deepest of scars.

The abuse you have endured for decades is not God’s will for your life, and we rebuke the enemy’s lies that would seek to keep you bound in shame, fear, or despair. The Lord sees your suffering, and He is moving on your behalf, even now. You are not defined by what has been done to you, but by who you are in Christ—a beloved child of God, redeemed and being restored by His mighty hand. The residual effects of abuse may linger, but they do not have the final say. The Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you, and He will bring beauty from these ashes.

Let us remind you of the truth of Scripture, which speaks directly to your pain and your hope:
*"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3, WEB)
*"The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound."* (Isaiah 61:1, WEB)
*"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB)

We also encourage you to lean into the truth that God’s justice is perfect. While the abuse you suffered may never be fully understood or rectified in this life, the Lord sees all and will bring every deed into judgment. You do not need to carry the weight of vengeance or unresolved anger—release it to Him, who judges righteously. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB)

As you continue to walk this path of healing, we urge you to surround yourself with godly, trustworthy believers who can walk alongside you in this journey. Isolation can be a breeding ground for the enemy’s lies, but community—rooted in Christ—can be a place of restoration. If you have not already, seek out a biblical counselor or a pastor who can help you process this pain in a way that honors the Lord. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens, and you do not have to walk this road alone.

Now, let us pray over you with the authority and love of Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your precious child, who has endured unspeakable pain at the hands of those who should have loved and protected them. Lord, we ask that You would wrap them in Your arms of comfort and speak peace to the storm within their heart. You see every tear they have cried, every wound they have carried, and every moment of fear they have endured. We ask that You would heal the broken places in their soul, Lord—restore what has been stolen, mend what has been shattered, and replace their pain with Your perfect peace.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of trauma, fear, anxiety, and shame that has taken root in their life. By the power of the blood of Jesus, we break every chain that the enemy has tried to place upon them. We declare that they are no longer a victim, but a victor in Christ Jesus. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength. Where there is deep sorrow, bring Your joy. Where there is fear, bring Your courage. Where there is confusion, bring Your clarity.

Lord, we ask that You would lead them to godly relationships and a community that will reflect Your love and support them in this season. Give them wisdom to discern safe people and the courage to set boundaries that honor You. Father, we also pray for justice—Your justice. You are the righteous Judge, and we trust that You will vindicate them in Your perfect timing.

We thank You, Lord, that You are making all things new. You are not done writing their story, and the best chapters are yet to come. Give them hope for the future, a future filled with Your goodness, mercy, and love. Let them know, deep in their spirit, that they are not forgotten, not abandoned, but deeply loved by You.

In the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we want to leave you with this promise: *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB) Hold fast to this truth, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He is for you. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and watch as He brings healing and restoration to every broken place. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you, and so is the Lord Almighty.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate through the tough terrain of healing from past abuses. We're not just standing with you, but we're walking beside you, step by step. We know the journey is long and arduous, but we're in this together.

We want you to know that God sees you, He knows your pain, and He's right there with you. He's not surprised by the depth of your hurt, nor is He turning away from it. In fact, He's leaning in, wrapping His arms around you, and whispering words of comfort and healing into your heart.

We're reminded of the verse in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is the Great Physician, and He's tending to your wounds right now. It's a process, and it might take time, but He's committed to your healing.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking out safe, godly communities. Isolation can be tempting, but it's not the path to healing. Surround yourself with people who will love you, support you, and speak truth into your life. If you haven't already, consider finding a biblical counselor or a pastor who can help you process your pain in a way that honors God.

Remember, you're not defined by what happened to you, but by who you are in Christ - a beloved child of God, redeemed and being restored by His mighty hand. The residual effects of abuse may linger, but they don't have the final say. God is faithful to complete the work He's begun in you, and He will bring beauty from these ashes.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, joy, courage, and clarity. We're asking Him to lead you to safe, loving communities and to vindicate you in His perfect timing. We're trusting in His goodness and His promise to give you a future filled with hope.

You're not alone in this. We're here with you, and so is the Lord Almighty. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and watch as He brings healing and restoration to every broken place.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting you before the Father’s throne, standing with you in prayer as you seek His healing and restoration from the deep wounds of abuse. Your courage in sharing this burden with us has moved our hearts, and we have continued to intercede for you—praying that the Lord Jesus would meet you in every broken place, binding up your wounds with His gentle hands and filling the hollows of your pain with His perfect peace.

We know this journey has been long and heavy, spanning decades of hurt that no one should ever have to bear. Yet we serve a God who specializes in redeeming what was stolen, who turns ashes into beauty, and who promises to be near to the brokenhearted. We are praying that as you continue to step away from harmful influences, the Lord would surround you with His protection, placing godly people in your path who reflect His love and truth. May He also give you the strength to keep moving forward, even on the days when the weight feels unbearable.

If the Lord has begun to bring comfort, renewal, or breakthrough in this season—whether through His presence, His Word, or the support of others—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting Him in their own pain. And if this battle still feels overwhelming, if the pain remains sharp or the road ahead seems unclear, we want you to know you are not alone. Please don’t hesitate to post again so we can continue to stand with you, lifting your name before the Father and asking Him to move mightily on your behalf.

We are praying specifically that the Lord would loosen the grip of past trauma on your heart, replacing the lingering ache in your chest with His supernatural peace. May He restore what was shattered, renew your mind with His truth, and fill you with the hope that comes only from Him. You are deeply loved by the One who sees every tear, who hears every cry, and who is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

May God bless you richly as you cling to Him, trusting that His mercy is new every morning and His healing is on the way. We are here, praying with you and for you.

In Jesus’ name.
