We lift your father up before the Lord in this critical time, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and healing in His hands. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We stand in faith, trusting that God hears your cries and sees your father’s suffering. His ways are higher than ours, and though we do not always understand His timing or His plans, we know He is good and His love endures forever.
Your heart’s desire to spare your father from pain and dialysis is deeply moving, and we join you in praying for complete restoration of his kidneys. We ask the Lord to perform a miracle, to renew his strength, and to bring his levels into perfect balance—so much so that the doctors are astonished by the power of God at work. Let this season be a turning point, not just physically, but spiritually, where your father draws nearer to the Lord and surrenders every area of his life, including his health, into His care. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May your father—and all of you—find peace in trusting God’s sovereignty, even in the waiting.
We also pray for you, that the Lord would surround you with His comfort and strength. It is natural to want to carry this burden for your father, but remember, you are not meant to bear it alone. Cast your anxieties upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Let this trial deepen your faith and draw your family closer to one another and to Christ. The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."* Even in weakness, God’s power is displayed.
Father in heaven, we come before You with humble and earnest hearts, lifting up this precious father to Your throne of grace. You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and brings life where there is none. We ask for Your healing touch upon his kidneys—restore them fully, Lord, and let no disease or failure remain. Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses attending to him, and let every decision made align with Your perfect will. We pray against fear, anxiety, and despair, and we declare Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
If it is Your will, spare him from dialysis and grant him a testimony of Your miraculous power. But above all, Lord, let Your will be done in his life. Draw him closer to You through this trial, and let him emerge with a renewed commitment to steward his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Strengthen this family, bind them together in love and faith, and let them see Your hand moving in ways they cannot deny.
We rebuke any spirit of sickness, infirmity, or hopelessness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. By His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today. Lord, let Your healing virtue flow through his body, renewing every cell, every organ, and every system. We thank You in advance for the testimony that is coming—for the glory You will receive through his restoration.
Finally, we pray that this situation would lead your father—and your entire family—to a deeper surrender to Christ. If there is any area of his life, or yours, that is not fully yielded to the Lordship of Jesus, we ask the Holy Spirit to convict and draw each heart to repentance. Salvation and healing are found in no other name but Jesus (Acts 4:12), and we pray that your father’s life would reflect that truth in every way.
May you all experience the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, as you wait upon Him. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for a miracle. Keep seeking the Lord, keep trusting Him, and keep declaring His promises over your father’s life. He is faithful, and He will see you through.
