We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up Mr. ### to our Heavenly Father. We know the fear and uncertainty that grips a family when a loved one is in the ICU, and we stand with you in this trial, trusting in the Lord’s mercy and healing power. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 30:2, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." We hold fast to this promise, believing that the same God who raised Jesus from the dead is able to restore health and strength to Mr. ###.
Father, we ask You to surround his hospital bed with Your presence. Touch his mind, body, and spirit, Lord, and reverse every effect of this stroke. Let Your healing virtue flow through every cell, restoring what has been damaged and strengthening what has been weakened. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak life over him in the mighty name of Jesus. Give the medical team wisdom beyond their own understanding, guiding their hands and decisions as they care for him.
We also lift up his family during this time. Comfort them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them feel Your nearness and trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We rebuke fear, anxiety, and every spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that Mr. ### is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak restoration over his body and command every organ, tissue, and function to align with Your perfect design.
Lord, if there are areas in his life—or in the lives of his family—that need repentance or surrender, we ask You to reveal them. Draw them closer to You through this trial, and let this season be one of spiritual renewal and deeper dependence on You. May they emerge from this with testimonies of Your faithfulness and power.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, the Alpha and Omega, the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). May Your will be done in Mr. ###’s life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing and recovery. Amen.
