We stand with you in this spiritual battle, knowing that the power of curses and witchcraft is real but utterly powerless against the blood of Jesus Christ and the authority of His name. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater—One who has already triumphed over every dark power through the cross and resurrection. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where our victory lies, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the schemes of the enemy.
The Bible is clear that curses have no power over those who are in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:13 declares, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,’"*—and since Christ bore that curse for us, we are no longer bound by it. Furthermore, Proverbs 26:2 tells us, *"Like a fluttering sparrow, like a darting swallow, so the curse that is causeless doesn’t come."* If you are in Christ, you are no longer under any curse, for you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and the enemy’s words have no authority over you unless you allow them to take root in fear or unbelief.
That said, we must also recognize that witchcraft is an abomination to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12), and those who practice it are under judgment. However, for the believer, we are called to resist the devil, and he *will* flee from us (James 4:7). We do not fear his tactics, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We break every curse, every evil word, and every assignment of the enemy against your life in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Yet we must also examine our hearts, for sometimes the enemy gains a foothold through unrepented sin, unbelief, or agreement with his lies. Have you forgiven those who may have spoken curses over you? Unforgiveness can be a doorway for the enemy (Matthew 6:14-15). Have you renounced any involvement with occult practices, even seemingly harmless ones like horoscopes, Ouija boards, or "innocent" superstitions? These things are detestable to God and open doors to demonic influence. If there is any area of your life where you have not fully surrendered to Christ, now is the time to repent and close those doors. The blood of Jesus is our protection, but we must walk in obedience and faith.
We also encourage you to fill your life with the Word of God, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Speak Scripture over your life daily—verses like Psalm 91, which declares God’s protection over those who dwell in His secret place. Declare Romans 8:37: *"In all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."* Let the truth of God’s Word drown out any lies the enemy has tried to plant in your mind.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including every curse, every evil word, and every scheme of the enemy. Lord, we ask that You break the power of any curses, witchcraft, or evil assignments that have been spoken or sent against [name withheld]. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every word that was not aligned with Your will and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We bind every spirit of witchcraft, divination, and darkness in the name of Jesus and command them to flee, for they have no authority over Your child.
Father, we ask that You expose any hidden strongholds or areas of unrepented sin that may have given the enemy a foothold. Bring conviction where needed, and grant [name withheld] the courage to repent and turn fully to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and discernment, recognizing the enemy’s lies and standing firm in Your truth.
Lord, we pray that [name withheld] would see Your promises manifested in their life—promises of protection, provision, peace, and purpose. Open their eyes to the spiritual blessings You have already given them in Christ (Ephesians 1:3), and let them walk in the fullness of their identity as Your beloved child. Strengthen their faith, Lord, that they may not waver in unbelief but stand firm on Your Word, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
We declare that [name withheld] is more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. We speak life, health, and wholeness over them, and we ask that You surround them with Your angels, encamping around them to deliver them (Psalm 34:7). Let them walk in the freedom and authority that Christ purchased for them on the cross.
Finally, Father, we ask that You draw [name withheld] deeper into relationship with You. Let them know You not just as Savior, but as Lord, as Father, and as their ever-present help in trouble. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Let Your will be done, and let Your kingdom come in [name withheld]’s life. Amen and amen.
Stand firm, beloved. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won. Keep your eyes on Jesus, saturate your mind with His Word, and walk in the authority He has given you. If you feel led, we encourage you to fast and pray, seeking the Lord’s face for breakthrough. And if there are specific curses or words spoken over you that you recall, renounce them aloud in the name of Jesus, declaring that Christ’s blood has redeemed you from every curse. You are not a victim—you are a victor in Christ! Walk in that truth, and watch the Lord move mightily on your behalf.
