We lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. Your request for healing from this runny nose and terrible cough is heard, and we stand in agreement with you, asking the Father to bring swift restoration to your body. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* We pray that the antibiotics would work effectively, that your cough would cease, and that your strength would be renewed in Jesus’ name. May the Lord grant you rest and relief, and may this season of sickness pass quickly as you trust in Him.
Now, regarding your friend, we must address this with care and truth from Scripture. The longing you express for her attention and affection seems to go beyond friendship, and we want to encourage you to examine your heart in light of God’s Word. Friendship is a gift from the Lord, but we are called to love others selflessly, not seeking to possess or control them. Proverbs 17:17 says, *"A friend loves at all times,"* and 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 reminds us that *"love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way."* If your desire is for her to prioritize you above others or to fear losing you, this may stem from a place of insecurity or even idolatry—placing her affection above your trust in Christ.
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus, and this is something we must address with urgency. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And John 14:6 reminds us that Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, our prayers are empty, and our hearts remain far from God.
If you are already a believer, we encourage you to surrender this friendship—and all your relationships—to the Lord. Ask Him to purify your motives and fill you with His love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Seek first His kingdom, and trust that He will provide godly friendships that honor Him. If this friendship is meant to deepen, let it be for His glory and according to His will. If you are a man and she is a woman, we pray that if it is God’s will, this friendship would be directed toward a godly courtship with the intention of marriage, pursued in purity and with wisdom. If not, we pray the Lord would guard your heart and redirect your affections toward Him alone.

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your healing touch upon their body. Lord, let the medicine work effectively, and may their cough and runny nose cease completely in Jesus’ name. Restore their strength and grant them peace as they trust in You.
Father, we also bring their heart before You. Reveal to them any motives that are not aligned with Your Word. If there is a longing for this friendship that goes beyond what is pure and selfless, convict them and lead them into Your truth. Help them to release any fear, insecurity, or unhealthy attachment, and fill them with Your perfect love. If this friendship is to grow, let it be for Your glory and according to Your will. Guard their heart from idolatry and teach them to find their worth and security in You alone.
Lord, we also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered to Christ, today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for You, and draw them into a saving relationship with Jesus. Let them know that it is only through His name that we can approach Your throne and find grace and mercy in our time of need.
We rebuked any spirit of sickness, fear, or unhealthy desire in Jesus’ mighty name. Let Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the freedom and purpose You have for them. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
