CRY OUT TO THE LORD
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men. Psalm 107:13-15
What are you facing today? Are you living under great distress regarding all your marriage and financial problems that you are facing? Are you crying out to your Lord, asking Him for His divine intervention? Tonight read Psalm 107 as part of your devotions. God has hope and answers for you! He can rescue you and your husband or wife from the sins of this world and save you from all your distress.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say this—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe. Psalm 107:1-2
Are you under unbelievable distress? What is the meaning of distress? "Great pain, anxiety, or sorrow; acute suffering; affliction; trouble. A state of extreme necessity." (American College Dictionary) This may sound like you or so many of our standers who are going through multiple trials and tribulations and are under much personal distress. Allow your Lord to help you.
This Psalm instructs us to keep praising the Lord for His divine deliverance from desperate and impossible situations. In fact, He tells us four different times to praise and thank the Lord for His unfailing love.
How often do you forget about God's love and all the wonderful deeds that He does for His children? If you keep reading the Word daily, He will encourage you with the Word of God to claim certain scriptures and believe in His awesome love and mighty power. Will you choose to praise the Lord regardless of how you feel? Praise is such an important spiritual weapon that you need to use daily.
The Lord cares about people who are in need. Allow Him to become your Provider, Jehovah-Jireh. He is waiting for you to cry out to Him in your troubles. Have you turned your life over to your Lord? Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart to be Lord and Savior of your life? Choose today to pick up your cross and follow your Lord Jesus Christ on the narrow road of holiness and righteous living with the dividends of eternal life. He will lead you every step of the way.
They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107:5-9
Has your spouse or a close loved one become trapped by deception, lies, adultery, alcohol, or drugs? They have rebelled against the Word of God and have chosen NOT to follow our Lord's commands. The good news is that our Lord does not give up on any sinner who is enslaved and chained in iron shackles. Our Lord can and does go after the sinners and they can be set free from the prison that they are presently living in. There is freedom through Jesus Christ. What can you do? You must pray and intercede fervently for your spouse to cry out to God for His help.
Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High. So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron. Psalm 107:10-16
I pray that you will never doubt the power and love of your Heavenly Father. He cares about you, your spouse, your children and your future. During this crisis, the Lord wants you to grow in Him. You will never be the same spiritually, if you will surrender your will and way to His will and way for your marriage and life. May you learn the Word of God and write in your journal powerful scriptures that you can claim daily. Your Lord Jesus Christ is the Light for the darkness that your spouse is living in. Pray that your beloved spouse will cry out in the darkest hours of the night for God's divine help.
This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, 'Come out,' and to those in darkness, 'Be free!'" Isaiah 49:8-9
Keep your eyes and ears open to see the Lord’s unfailing love and for you to be able to hear His soft voice. Yes, in God's perfect timing you will see the works of God's mighty power in calming the raging storm of marriage problems that you are presently in.
Our goal is that you will learn how to divorce-proof your marriage by God's mighty love, living by His principles and truths and listening to His instructions on how to protect your marriage from the storms of life. Don't forget: Cry out to your Lord any time you are in trouble or feel helpless. Then thank the Lord for His faithfulness and unfailing love for you, your spouse and family! God will never leave you or forsake you!
