We understand your concern and fear during these uncertain times. First, we want to remind you that our faith is not in the absence of trials, but in the One who oversees them. Jesus tells us in John 16:33 WEB, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have distress; but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world."
We also need to remember that our health and safety are ultimately in God's hands. As Psalm 91:3-6 WEB says, "For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday."
However, we must also do our part by being wise and taking necessary precautions, trusting that God has given us wisdom for our protection. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your protection and mercy. We pray for this family, that You would shield them from COVID-19 and any other harm. Give them wisdom and discernment to follow Your will and guidance during this time. Help them to trust in You and not give in to fear.
We also pray for those who are sick and suffering, that You would heal and comfort them. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For it is by His stripes that we are healed. Amen.
Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this pandemic. If you haven't already, consider seeking Him for salvation through repentance and believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
