We stand with you in this time of distress, lifting your cries before the Lord, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your pain has not gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father, and we declare His protection and deliverance over you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
It is clear that ### is bound by the chains of alcohol, which have given the enemy a foothold to wreak havoc in his life and in yours. Ephesians 5:18 warns us, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* His actions are not only destructive to himself but are a direct violation of the covenant of marriage he made before God with ###. The Lord detests violence and oppression, and we rebuke the spirit of alcoholism, rage, and harassment that has taken hold of ###. This is not of God, but of the evil one, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We command these spirits to be bound and cast out in Jesus’ name, for *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We also address the plea in your prayer regarding ### feeling physical consequences for his drinking. While we understand the desperation behind such a request, we must align our hearts with the will of God, who desires that all men repent and turn to Him (2 Peter 3:9). Instead of praying for harm—even as a means to an end—we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict ### so deeply of his sin that he would be broken before the Lord, leading him to seek help and repentance. May the Lord place a hedge of thorns around him whenever he reaches for alcohol, not to harm him, but to turn his heart toward sobriety and restoration. We pray that God would send godly men and resources into his life to help him overcome this addiction, for *"the Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him."* (Nahum 1:7).
As for your safety and peace, we declare Psalm 91 over you: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* We plead the blood of Jesus over your home, your mind, and your body, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May the Lord grant you supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to take practical steps to ensure your safety. If ###’s behavior escalates to physical violence, we urge you to contact local authorities or seek refuge in a safe place. The Lord has given us wisdom and resources to protect ourselves, and there is no shame in using them. Proverbs 22:3 tells us, *"A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."* You are not obligated to endure abuse, and we pray the Lord would guide you to the right people and places for protection and support.
Lastly, we lift up ### in this situation, for marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and it is grievous when it is broken by sin and addiction. We pray that the Lord would minister to her heart, giving her wisdom, strength, and discernment on how to navigate this trial. May the Lord restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and bring healing and reconciliation if it is His will. If ### is unwilling to repent and change, we pray the Lord would protect ### and guide her in the path of righteousness, for His glory.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved daughter, who is crying out for deliverance from the harassment and abuse she is enduring. Lord, You are a God of justice and mercy, and we ask that You would intervene mightily in this situation. Rebuke the spirit of alcoholism that has enslaved ###, and break its power over him in Jesus’ name. Convict his heart of his sin and lead him to repentance, that he may seek the help he so desperately needs. Lord, we pray that You would silence his rage and confusion, and remove him far from her home, that she may dwell in peace and safety.
Father, we ask that You would surround her with Your angels, encamping around her to protect her from all harm (Psalm 34:7). Grant her restful sleep, free from fear, and fill her home with Your shalom—Your perfect peace. Remove every trace of negativity, bitterness, and confusion, and replace it with Your presence and joy. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray for wisdom and discernment for her, that she would know the steps to take to ensure her safety and well-being. Lead her to godly counsel and support, and provide for her every need. Father, we also lift up ###, asking that You would strengthen her and guide her in this difficult season. Heal their marriage if it is Your will, or provide a path forward that honors You.
Lord, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are faithful to act on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your love, knowing that You will bring justice and restoration. We pray all these things in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen and amen.
