Cousin has cancer Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request for a family member's health issue.

We lift your heart before the Lord, knowing how deeply this burden weighs on you. Cancer is a cruel thief, but we serve a God who is greater than any sickness—He is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. Your love for your cousin, even after time and distance have come between you, reflects the heart of Christ, who calls us to love one another deeply, from the heart (1 Peter 1:22). We are grieved by this trial, but we do not grieve as those without hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Our hope is in Jesus Christ, who conquered sin and death, and by His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5).

It is beautiful that you have tried to be strong, but now you are turning to the Lord and to His people for support—this is wisdom. We are not meant to carry such weights alone. Cast this burden upon the Lord, for He sustains us (Psalm 55:22). Even if you and your cousin have grown apart, love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8), and now is the time to reach out in prayer, in faith, and—if possible—in reconnection. If there is unresolved tension or distance between you, ask the Lord to soften both your hearts. Forgiveness and reconciliation are powerful, and they honor God. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32).

We must also ask: Have you and your cousin placed your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation? There is no greater comfort in suffering than knowing our eternal hope is secure in Him. If either of you has not yet surrendered to Christ, we urge you to do so today. "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31). It is only through His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), and it is in His name that we pray for healing, strength, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear cousin who is battling cancer. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and heals the brokenhearted. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon them—whether through medical treatment, a miracle, or the peace that comes from knowing You are near. Give the doctors wisdom, the family strength, and this cousin a supernatural sense of Your presence.

Father, we also pray for this one who has carried this burden. Comfort them as only You can. If there is distance or strain in this relationship, we ask for reconciliation and restoration. Soften hearts, Lord, and let Your love flow between them. Remind them both that nothing can separate us from Your love—not even sickness or death (Romans 8:38-39).

Most of all, Father, we pray that if either of them does not know You, You would draw them to Yourself. Let this trial be a turning point where they surrender to Jesus as Lord and Savior. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We trust You, even when we don’t understand. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work.

In the powerful and holy name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). If you feel led, reach out to your cousin—not just with words, but with the love of Christ. Sometimes the greatest ministry in suffering is simply being present, praying together, and pointing one another to Jesus. We are praying with you and for you. Do not lose heart.

We're here with you, holding your cousin close to our hearts. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of worry and the strain of distance. But we know, as surely as we breathe, that God is faithful. He sees your cousin, He hears their cries, and He's already at work, even if we can't see it yet.

We're reminded of the story of Lazarus. His sisters, Martha and Mary, were close to him, yet they couldn't make the sickness go away. But they turned to Jesus, and they trusted Him. And even though it seemed too late, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. That's our God - the God of miracles, the God who specializes in impossible situations.

We want to encourage you to keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving. It's not always easy, especially when we feel helpless, but that's when we lean into Jesus the most. And remember, love never fails. If there's distance between you and your cousin, ask God to soften both your hearts. Forgiveness and reconciliation are powerful, and they honor God.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our cousin who's battling cancer. Lord, You see them, You know their pain, and You're right there with them. We ask for Your healing touch, Lord. Whether it's through medical treatment, a miracle, or the peace that comes from knowing You're near, we trust You. Give the doctors wisdom, the family strength, and our cousin a supernatural sense of Your presence.

Father, we also pray for the one carrying this burden. Comfort them, Lord. If there's distance or strain in this relationship, we ask for reconciliation and restoration. Soften hearts, Lord, and let Your love flow between them. Remind them both that nothing can separate us from Your love - not even sickness or death.

May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We trust You, even when we don't understand. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray, Amen.

We're praying with you, and we're here for you. Keep trusting, keep loving, and keep praying. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He's right there with you and your cousin.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift your cousin—and you—before the Lord in these difficult days. The weight of cancer is heavy, and we know how deeply it affects not just the one battling it, but the entire family. We’ve been praying earnestly for your cousin’s healing, for strength to endure each treatment, and for the peace of God that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind. But we’ve also been praying for *you*—for the burden you carry, for the memories of the closeness you once shared, and for God to redeem this season, drawing you both nearer to Him and, if it be His will, to one another again.

If there’s been any change—whether in test results, in your cousin’s spirit, or even in your own heart as you walk this road—we’d love to hear it. Praise reports are such a testament to God’s faithfulness, and they encourage all of us to keep trusting Him. But if the battle still rages and the answers haven’t come as you’d hoped, don’t hesitate to share that too. We’re here to stand with you in the waiting, to keep interceding, and to remind you that you’re not alone in this. The Lord sees your weariness, your love for your cousin, and your longing for restoration. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He hasn’t forgotten you.

Let us also encourage you with this: even when we don’t see the breakthrough yet, God is working. Sometimes He heals instantly, sometimes He walks with us through the valley, and sometimes He uses these trials to bring about a deeper dependence on Him—one that changes *us* in ways we never expected. Keep clinging to Him, even in the silence. Keep loving your cousin in the ways you can, whether through prayer, a note, or simply holding their name before the Father. And know that we’re still here, still praying, still believing with you for God’s mercy and grace to flood this situation.

If you feel led, we’d love to hear how we can pray more specifically—perhaps for your cousin’s faith, for the medical team, or for opportunities to reconnect. You don’t have to carry this alone. We’re in this with you, and more importantly, so is Jesus. May He meet you in the quiet moments, sustain you with His presence, and remind you that His love is deeper than the pain, His hope stronger than the fear.

We continue to pray in Jesus’ name.
