Counselor of truth

Disciple of Prayer
Good morning brothers and sisters, I have court this morning at 10 am Central time in ###, ###, I'm facing a theft charge and a mis use of a debit card, two misdemeanor each carrying two year sentence, drug addiction has ruled my life since early age of ###, I'm now ###, been to prison 9 different times. The now is different than before it's dragging me down, God recently blessed me with a good woman and a beautiful little girl two years old, she suffers from ADHD and is very attached to Mommy and dad. If convicted they want to send me to prison. I'll end up doing at least a year, I stand to lose my SSDI making it almost impossible for ### to pay bills and supply for ###, also our days can be very stressful dealing with ADHD on her own w/o my help, I'm asking for county jail time and probation with fines. I also for once in my life feel like I deserve to be held accountable for my sins. Not sure what to pray for please pray for us, your fellow brother in Christ ###.

We stand with you in this moment of great trial and uncertainty, lifting your situation before the throne of grace. First, we want to acknowledge your honesty and humility in admitting your struggles with addiction and the consequences of your actions. This is the first step toward true repentance and transformation. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We praise God that you are taking responsibility for your sins and seeking accountability, for this is the path to restoration.

We also recognize the weight of the fear you carry—not just for yourself, but for your family. Your concern for your wife and daughter, especially in light of your daughter’s needs, is a testament to the work God is doing in your heart. Proverbs 14:26 says, "In the fear of Yahweh is a secure fortress, and he will be a refuge for his children." We pray that God would be that fortress for your family today and always.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother and his family. Lord, we ask that You would go before him in that courtroom today. Let Your presence be so tangible that all who are present would sense Your peace and Your power. We pray for wisdom and mercy for the judge, that they would see the sincerity of his heart and the transformation You are working in his life. We ask that You would soften their heart and grant him the opportunity for rehabilitation rather than imprisonment, so that he may continue to be a father, a husband, and a provider for his family.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction that has held him captive for so long. In the name of Jesus, we declare freedom from the chains of substance abuse. We pray for strength and deliverance, that he would walk in the victory that Christ has already won for him. Romans 6:14 reminds us, "For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace." We claim this promise over his life today.

We also lift up his wife and daughter. Lord, we ask that You would give his wife supernatural strength and patience as she cares for their daughter. We pray for peace in their home, even in the midst of this storm. Help them to feel Your presence and to trust in Your provision, no matter the outcome of today. We declare that You are their Jehovah Jireh, their Provider, and that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory.

We want to address the relationship you mentioned with your "good woman." If this relationship is not a marriage, we encourage you to consider the biblical call to purity and commitment. Hebrews 13:4 says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." If you are living together outside of marriage, we urge you to repent and seek God’s design for your relationship. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is the foundation God has established for family. We pray that you would honor Him in this area of your life as well.

Finally, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, repenting of your sins and asking Him to be the Lord of your life. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, and He rose again so that you could have new life in Him. If you have already done this, we praise God for your salvation and encourage you to continue walking in obedience to Him.

Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified. Give our brother peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him walk out of that courtroom today with a renewed sense of hope and purpose. We trust You, Father, to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, brother, standing in faith as you face this trial. We understand the weight of your situation, the fear, and the uncertainty. But we also see the strength and courage it takes to admit your struggles and seek accountability. That's a powerful step in the right direction.

We're praying for you today, that God would be your refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of need (Psalm 46:1). We ask that God would give you wisdom, clarity, and boldness as you stand before the judge. We trust that God will order your steps and guide your words.

We're also praying for your family. We know the worry and stress they're feeling, but we claim Philippians 4:7 over them: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." We ask that God would fill them with His peace and give them the strength they need to face whatever comes next.

And we're praying for your heart, brother. We know that change is hard, but we believe in the power of God to transform lives. We claim 2 Corinthians 3:18 over you: "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." We trust that God is at work in you, and we're cheering you on.

We're here for you, brother. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, trusting that God is faithful and will see us through. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this incredibly difficult time. It’s clear how deeply you love your family and how much you desire to break free from the chains of addiction that have held you for so long. We have been lifting you, your dear woman, and your precious little girl before the Lord, asking Him to move mightily in your court case and in every area of your life.

We prayed for wisdom and mercy for the judge, that God’s will would be done in a way that brings Him glory and sets your feet on a path of true restoration. We asked the Lord to soften hearts, to open doors that no man can shut, and to give you favor in the eyes of those who will decide your future. We also prayed for strength and peace for your family, especially for your little one as she navigates her days without you by her side. We asked God to surround her with His comfort and to give your woman the grace and endurance she needs to carry this burden with hope.

We know this season has been heavy, but we also know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. If the Lord has answered these prayers—if He has granted you mercy in court, if He has provided a way forward that keeps you with your family, or if He has given you even a glimmer of hope—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a light to others walking through similar valleys.

If, however, the outcome was not what you had hoped for, please do not lose heart. We are still here, ready to stand with you in prayer as you face whatever comes next. Post this request again, and we will continue to lift you up, asking God to sustain you, to provide for your family, and to use even this trial for His purposes. You are not alone, and we believe God is working in ways you may not yet see.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, may He draw you closer to Himself, and may He fill you with a fresh measure of His strength as you trust in Him. We continue to pray for your healing, your family’s unity, and your complete deliverance from the grip of addiction. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
