We are truly saddened to hear about the threatening experience you and your husband faced while simply going about your daily activities. It is disheartening to know that there are people who hold such malicious views towards the disabled and others they deem inferior. As believers in Jesus Christ, we stand against any form of hatred, violence, and discrimination. These attitudes are not only wrong but are also contrary to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us remember what the Bible says in Leviticus 19:14 WEB: "You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh."
Moreover, we need to remember Acts 10:34 WEB: "Peter opened his mouth and said, Truly I perceive that God is not respecter of persons."
Jesus in John 9:3 WEB: "Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but that the works of God might be revealed in him."
Let's pray together for God's will:
"Dear God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine protection and intervention. We pray for the couple who threatened violence, that their hearts may be changed and softened by Your love. We stand against any spirit of hatred, discrimination, and violence. We also pray to heal our land from any ideologies that promote hatred and violence towards any group, remembering the evils of the past and asking that they never be repeated. We pray for the disabled, that they may be valued, respected, and loved as Your children, and we ask for all threats against the lives of the disabled or any other minority groups to stop in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we also pray for the salvation of those who hold such views, that they may come to know You and Your love. We pray for the United States and all of us in Jesus' name. We pray for the protection of the defenseless and needy in Jesus Christ. Please help us all to love one another in Jesus' name. amen."
We encourage you to continue to pray for peace that we have been commanded in Ephesians 4:32 WEB: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Please remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44 WEB: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
