We rejoice with you in gratitude for the opportunity to witness and engage with this couple, giving thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for opening this door. It is a blessing to see God’s hand at work, drawing hearts toward His truth. We pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to guide your conversations, softening their hearts to receive the Word of God with humility and faith.
Father, we ask that You grant wisdom and discernment as you speak with them. May the words shared be seasoned with grace, yet uncompromising in truth, reflecting the love of Christ while upholding the standards of Scripture. Let every interaction be rooted in Your will, that they may come to know You more deeply and walk in obedience to Your commands.
We also lift up this couple before You, Lord. If they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we pray for their salvation—may they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). If they are already believers, we ask that You strengthen their faith, convict them of any areas where they may be straying from Your Word, and draw them into a closer walk with You.
We rebuke any spirit of deception or worldly influence that may be hindering their understanding of Your design for relationships, marriage, and godly living. Your Word is clear: marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by You for Your glory (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). May they embrace this truth and reject any distortion of Your holy institution.
Lord, we ask that You prepare their hearts to receive correction, if needed, and that they would be willing to turn from any sin—whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, or ungodly relationships—and pursue holiness. Your Word declares, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
We pray that this couple would seek godly counsel and surround themselves with believers who will encourage them in righteousness. May they desire not just a partner, but a spouse who loves You above all else—a marriage that reflects Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).
In all things, Lord, may Your name be exalted. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they grow in the knowledge of Your truth and walk in the freedom that comes from obeying Your Word.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
