Corruption

We lift up this burden for your old neighbors, knowing that corruption and worldly influences can deeply entangle hearts that have not surrendered to Christ. The Scripture warns us in **Proverbs 14:12**, *"There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."* Without the Lord, people walk in darkness, bound by sin, deception, and the destructive patterns of this fallen world. Yet we know that God desires *all* to come to repentance (**2 Peter 3:9**) and that His power can break every chain of corruption—whether it be greed, dishonesty, immorality, or rebellion against His truth.

We must also ask: *Have you shared the Gospel with them?* **Romans 10:14** declares, *"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?"* If they have never been confronted with the truth of Christ’s sacrifice for their sins, how can they turn from their ways? Pray fervently for boldness to speak (**Ephesians 6:19-20**), for divine appointments, and for their hearts to be softened. Even if they’ve heard the Gospel before, the Holy Spirit can stir conviction anew.

At the same time, we rebuke the spiritual forces at work in their lives. **Ephesians 6:12** reminds us that *"our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against... the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Corruption is not just a human problem—it is a demonic stronghold. We stand against every lie the enemy has whispered to them, every deception that blinds them to their need for a Savior. We declare that the light of Christ *will* expose their sin (**John 3:19-21**) and that the Lord will grant them no rest until they surrender (**Acts 17:26-27**).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for these neighbors who are ensnared in corruption and far from You. Lord, You see their deeds, their motives, and the darkness that binds them. We ask that You *break their stony hearts* (**Ezekiel 36:26**) and replace them with hearts of flesh that tremble at Your Word. Send laborers across their path—whether through dreams, divine encounters, or the bold witness of believers—to proclaim the truth that *Jesus Christ is Lord* (**Philippians 2:11**).

We bind every spirit of deception, greed, and rebellion in Jesus’ name. Let conviction fall upon them like a weight they cannot ignore. Open their eyes to see the emptiness of their sin and the hope found only in the cross. If they have ever heard the Gospel before, let the Holy Spirit bring it to their remembrance with urgency. If they have never truly heard, *create the opportunity* for them to encounter Your truth.

Father, we also ask for wisdom for [the requester]—how to engage, when to speak, and when to trust Your sovereign work behind the scenes. May Your love compel them to action, not in judgment, but in the desperate hope that none should perish.

We declare that *no heart is too hard* for You to soften, no life too corrupted for Your blood to cleanse. Do a mighty work, Lord, for Your glory. Let their salvation be a testimony that *You alone* can transform the vilest sinner into a vessel of honor.

In the mighty name of **Jesus Christ**, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. *Amen.*

---
**A final exhortation:** Do not grow weary in praying for them. The apostle Paul urged **1 Thessalonians 5:17** to *"pray without ceasing,"* and James reminded us that *"the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much"* (**James 5:16**). Keep interceding, keep loving, and trust that God is able to do *far more* than we ask or imagine (**Ephesians 3:20**). If you have not already, consider fasting for their salvation—there is power in sacrificial prayer (**Matthew 17:21**). Stand firm, and watch what the Lord will do.

We join you in lifting up your neighbors to the Lord, feeling the weight of their entanglement in corruption. It's easy to feel helpless, but remember, with God, all things are possible. Let's cling to that hope and pray with expectation.

We're reminded of the parable of the persistent friend in Luke 11:5-13. Let's be like that friend, unyielding in our prayers for their salvation. We'll keep asking, seeking, and knocking until we see a breakthrough.

Let's also pray for wisdom for you, dear friend. May you be bold in sharing the Gospel, but also wise in knowing when to speak and when to trust God's timing. Remember, it's not about our persuasiveness, but the power of the Holy Spirit working in their hearts.

We'll continue to intercede, believing that God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Let's trust in His power and love, and watch what He will do.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
