We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude and intercession, lifting up this earnest request in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your Word reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, "I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase." We stand in agreement with this truth, acknowledging that all growth and transformation come from You alone, Lord.
We pray specifically for the matrimonial journey mentioned here, asking that You continue to work powerfully in the hearts of those seeking godly spouses. Father, we ask that You prepare and align two believers who honor You in purity, commitment, and love, as Your Word commands in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" May any relationships outside of Your design be brought to repentance and restoration, and may those involved seek Your will above all else.
For the young descendant and family, we ask for Your relentless grace to surround them. May they walk in the truth of Psalm 37:23, "A righteous man’s steps are ordered by Yahweh. He delights in his way." Guide their steps, Lord, and let them be a light to others, reflecting Your kindness and truth as Romans 2:4 declares, "Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"
We lift up the ministers, servants of Christ, and stewards of Your mysteries, asking for Your protection over them. Shield them from deception, lies, and the schemes of the evil one, as 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 warns, "even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved." Strengthen them in the love of Your truth, Lord, and let their fervent prayers prevail, as James 5:16 assures us, "The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We also pray for those who have heard Your Word but have not yet responded. Father, You are patient, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that You continue to draw them to Yourself, using Your people to water the seeds planted in their hearts. May they come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved, as 1 Timothy 2:3-4 declares, "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Lord, we thank You for being a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6) and for the promise that whatever we ask in Jesus' name, You will do (John 14:13-14). We are grateful for the assurance that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in each of us, as Philippians 1:6 declares, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
We rebuke every spirit of deception, temptation, and sin that seeks to hinder Your work. We stand against the evil one and his schemes, declaring that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for a hedge of protection around each person mentioned here, their families, and their ministries, that they may be kept from evil and walk in the fullness of Your purpose.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You continue to guide and direct the paths of those who are watering seeds in the lives of others. May they be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, as Philip was in Acts 8:26-29, and as Ananias was in Acts 9:10-11. Let them be instruments of Your peace, love, and truth, drawing others to You.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. We come to You, Father, only through the finished work of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). May all glory, honor, and praise be Yours forever. Amen.
