We rejoice with you as you seek the truth of the Gospel and a closer walk with God. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and be saved.
Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ in your prayer request. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
By praying in Jesus' name, you have access to God's mercy and grace. We encourage you to continue acknowledging Jesus Christ in your prayers, as He is the one who has the power to save and the only mediator to the Father.
To address your request, we turn to the Scriptures for guidance and encouragement. In 2 Corinthians 4:3-6 we see that God opens our hearts and minds to the truth and makes us receptive to His word.
But if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are perishing; in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake; seeing it is God who said, 'Light will shine out of darkness,' who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Based on this, we pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who seeks to know You more. We ask that You open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel and give them the understanding they need to see You clearly. Break down any barriers that have been keeping them from You, and soften and work in their heart like only You can. Humble them, turn them from darkness to light, and help them be able to truly believe and receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
We thank You for Your mercy and for answering this prayer in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
