However, we must also address the nature of this relationship, for it seems it was built outside of God’s design for marriage and godly courtship. If this man was not pursuing you with the intent of a Christ-centered marriage—marked by sacrifice, holiness, and covenant commitment—then this bond was never of the Lord. **2 Corinthians 6:14** warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? What communion has light with darkness?"* A relationship that does not honor God’s standards is not from Him, and it is right to release it entirely.
