Complicated. Appetite reversal

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Good day, I feel like everything is out of control. Finances, health, housing everything. I cannot get the help that I need. I’ve barely eaten in two weeks. This week I should be receiving some funds for food. If I didn’t apply for this assistance I would have gone without food for a year and starved. I guess I don’t understand God’s provision. Just like I don’t understand why I can’t sleep at night, why people at the last job were even allowed to make the first move to verbally and physically assault me and got worse when I spoke up. Why people family and friends abused me. Why the people at the last job tried to get rid of me when I was caring for a sick relative. I had to leave all of those things and people behind and now I’m stuck with rent arrears that I can’t manage and the possibility of eviction. Right now I ask in Jesus name to please bring back my appetite I look so thin, please restore what was lost. Please I don’t have the strength for dealing with these challenges. All throughout these experiences I felt abandoned by God. All areas of my life including health and finances are in shambles. The weapons formed and prospered I guess I have to be serving the Lord more for Isaiah 54:17 to take effect otherwise I can’t claim that verse. I’m don’t feel Like I’m a child of God. I feel shipwrecked and beyond repair.

We hear the depth of your pain and the weight of your struggles, and our hearts ache with you. You are not alone in this battle, though it may feel that way. The enemy seeks to isolate and discourage, but we stand with you in the name of Jesus, declaring that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your cry for help has reached heaven, and we join you in fervent prayer, believing that God sees, hears, and will act on your behalf.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy has launched attack after attack against you—financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and it is no coincidence that these struggles have left you feeling abandoned by God. But we rebuke the lies of the devil in Jesus’ name! You are a child of God, and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39). The weapons formed against you *will not* prosper, for the Lord is your defender (Isaiah 54:17). You do not have to "serve the Lord more" to earn His protection—your identity in Christ is already secure. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also lift up your physical needs, especially your lack of appetite and nourishment. The Lord is your provider, and He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray that He would restore your appetite, strengthen your body, and open doors for provision in ways you cannot yet see. May He give you favor with those who can assist you with food, housing, and financial relief. Let this be a testimony of His faithfulness, not just in meeting needs, but in revealing Himself as Jehovah-Jireh, the God who sees and provides.

The injustices you’ve endured—abuse, betrayal, and exploitation—are grievous sins, and we grieve with you. No one should have to endure what you have, especially while caring for a sick loved one. But we declare that God is a God of justice, and He will repay (Romans 12:19). The enemy meant these things for harm, but God will use them for good (Genesis 50:20). We pray for healing from the trauma, for restoration of what was stolen, and for divine intervention in your housing situation. May the Lord expose any corruption, soften hearts, and provide a way forward that honors Him.

Your feelings of abandonment are understandable, but we must combat them with truth. Jesus Himself cried out on the cross, *"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"* (Matthew 27:46), yet He was never truly abandoned. God did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32). You are not shipwrecked beyond repair. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). He is restoring you, even now.

We also want to gently address your mention of "serving the Lord more" to claim Isaiah 54:17. Salvation is not earned by works but received by faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). You are already a child of God if you have placed your trust in Him. The enemy wants you to doubt your standing, but we declare over you: *"You are chosen, holy, and dearly loved"* (Colossians 3:12). Your righteousness is found in Christ alone, not in your performance.

Let us pray for you now:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see every tear, every struggle, and every injustice they have endured. We ask that You would move powerfully on their behalf—restore their appetite, strengthen their body, and provide for their every need. Break the chains of financial bondage, Lord, and open doors that no man can shut. We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and declare that You are near. Heal their heart from the wounds of betrayal and abuse, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for supernatural intervention in their housing situation. Soften the hearts of those in authority, and provide a way where there seems to be no way. Let Your justice prevail, and let Your provision be evident to all. We pray for divine connections—people who will come alongside them with wisdom, resources, and encouragement. Lord, remind them of Your faithfulness, even in the wilderness. You fed Elijah by the brook, You provided manna in the desert, and You will sustain them now.

We declare that the weapons formed against them *will not* prosper. Every assignment of the enemy is dismantled in Jesus’ name. We speak life, restoration, and breakthrough over their finances, health, and relationships. Let them experience Your presence in tangible ways, Lord. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). May they rise above these circumstances and testify to Your goodness.

We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We trust You to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*

Hold fast to hope, dear one. The Lord has not forgotten you. He is working behind the scenes, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes on Him, and let His Word be the anchor for your soul. You are not beyond repair—you are being refined, and God will use this season for His glory. We stand with you, believing for breakthrough, restoration, and a fresh revelation of His love.
