Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where danger and suffering have come from neglect. Father, You are the God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You move mightily in this matter. The electric shocks, the illness, the skin problems, the medical costs, and the threats, all of these are not just inconveniences but violations of Your command to love our neighbors as ourselves. We pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened and convicted by the Holy Spirit to take responsibility for the harm caused and to make restitution without delay.

Lord, we know that You see every injustice, and You call us to act with integrity and compassion. Proverbs 21:15 says, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." We pray that this landlord would no longer be a worker of iniquity but would turn from neglect and do what is right. Let Your Spirit stir within them a godly sorrow that leads to repentance, as 2 Corinthians 7:10 reminds us, "For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death."

We also lift up the physical and emotional toll this has taken. The electric shocks, the skin problems, and the stress of medical treatments are burdens no one should have to bear alone. We ask for Your healing touch, Lord. Restore health, provide financial relief, and bring peace to a heart that has been troubled by threats and mistreatment. Psalm 34:18-19 assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."

Father, we pray for wisdom and favor in resolving this matter. Whether through legal means or a change of heart, let justice prevail. We declare that the landlord will not continue in hardness of heart but will be moved to do what is right, not out of compulsion, but out of a conscience awakened by You. Let this situation be a testimony to Your power to change hearts and bring about righteousness.

We also pray for protection over this individual, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Guard their heart from bitterness, their mind from fear, and their body from further harm. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:6-7 promises, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Lord, we trust You to work all things together for good, even in this difficult circumstance. We ask that You would be glorified through the resolution of this matter and that Your name would be lifted high. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We are so sorry you’ve endured all this, the electric shocks, the resulting illness and skin problems, the scramble for alternative showers, and on top of it, the threats. That kind of compounding stress is exhausting, and it’s completely understandable to long for the landlord to own what happened and to make things right. You’ve carried a heavy load, and we ache with you over the injustice of it.

We want to encourage you that you’re not wrong to seek just compensation and a stirred conscience. God himself cares deeply when the vulnerable are mistreated, and he doesn’t brush aside the real-life costs of someone’s negligence.

As you pray and wait, we’d gently nudge you not to carry this alone. Is there a trusted friend, a pastor, or even a local church-based outreach or legal-aid ministry who could walk alongside you? Sometimes just having another person hear your story, help you organize documentation, or simply sit with you in the tension can lighten the emotional weight and open doors you hadn’t yet seen. A little practical shelter around you can steady your heart while you continue to trust God for the outcome.

Heavenly Father, you see every shock this person endured, every rash, every anxious moment. We ask you to awaken the landlord’s conscience and move him toward genuine repentance and swift, fair compensation for the medical bills, shower costs, and the pain inflicted. Shield them from further threats and bring tangible repair where human hands have failed. Heal their body, quiet their spirit, and guide them to the right kind of support in the days ahead. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

Trials such as these are never outside the watchful eye of the great Landlord, whose property you and the man who troubles you both are. It is a bitter draught to suffer wrong when the very walls that should shelter you become a snare and the negligence of another inflicts wounds upon your flesh. Yet the Lord who numbers the hairs of your head has permitted these electric shocks and these skin afflictions; they come not without His knowledge, nor shall they pass without His righteous adjudication in due time. The rent you pay to your earthly landlord is but a shadow of the far greater rent due to God, the rent of a heart that yields Him obedience, trust, and praise even in the furnace of affliction.

Your plea for the landlord’s conscience to be stirred is well and good, but let us consider what genuine stirring means. A man may be prodded by judgment into a carnal repentance, a repentance of the flesh that loathes the penalty but never the sin. Such repentance is like the early morning dew, it vanishes when the sun of convenience rises. What profit is it if your landlord should pay every penny yet remain a stranger to that repentance which is unto life? The repentance that gives God glory is of a nobler stamp: it owns the justice of God’s law, it abhors the sin itself, and it runs to Christ for mercy. Pray, then, not merely that his pocket be opened by a guilty sting, but that the Holy Spirit would lead him by the goodness of God to a thorough loathing of his own hard heart. The sweetest repentance is drawn, not driven; it comes when a soul tastes the love of Christ and then weeps that it ever offended such a gracious God.

And while you wait upon the Lord for this, search your own spirit lest root of bitterness spring up to defile you. It is a sharp temptation to demand justice in a tone that forgets our own need of mercy. True repentance in a believer is a lifelong companion, a sweet sister who walks with us even to the gates of pearl. Has your own grief over this trial become a wedge between you and the Landlord who holds your lease? Bring your cause to Him, but lay it down before His unimpeachable justice with the words of the psalmist upon your lips: “Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.” A heart that can say that, even while smarting under injury, has found the secret of peace.

Compensation may come or it may tarry. The electric shocks and the cost of ointments are real, and you are not wrong to seek a just settlement. Yet remember that the true recompense for every wrong withheld shall be awarded by the Judge of all the earth, and His accounts are kept with exactness. Faith does not demand that the landlord’s money be placed in your hand by sundown; faith looks to Christ and rests assured that no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. Do not pin your hope of relief upon the awakenment of a fallen man’s conscience, for that is but a bruised reed. Expect great things from God, who alone can make the wrath of man to praise Him and restrain the remainder.

Preach to your own soul the inseparability of repentance and remission. That word is not for your landlord only. Every fresh view of Christ’s love, every token of the Father’s patient goodness, the spared breath, the seasons yet given, the throne of grace still accessible, ought to lead you to a deeper repentance even in the midst of this trial. Repentance is no barren thing; it builds up where it once tore down, it clings ever to the cross. May you and this man both be brought to the feet of Jesus, where all stubbornness melts and every righteous demand is swallowed up in amazement at His unmerited kindness.
