Whether you choose to do it God's way, which is to "do what is right"; or, you choose to go your own way, the option has been given. Therefore, the choice is yours. God is His Word, and He does not change to please man.
Isaiah 30 (NLT)
⁸Now go and write down these words. Write them in a book. They will stand until the end of time as a witness ⁹that these people are stubborn rebels who refuse to pay attention to the lord’s instructions. ¹⁰They tell the seers, “Stop seeing visions!” They tell the prophets, “Don’t tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies. ¹¹Forget all this gloom. Get off your narrow path. Stop telling us about your ‘Holy One of Israel.’”
Micah 2:6:11 (NLT)
⁶“Don’t say such things,” the people respond. “Don’t prophesy like that. Such disasters will never come our way!” ⁷Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the LORD’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting. ⁸Yet to this very hour my people rise against me like an enemy! You steal the shirts right off the backs of those who trusted you, making them as ragged as men returning from battle. ⁹You have evicted women from their pleasant homes and forever stripped their children of all that God would give them. ¹⁰Up! Begone! This is no longer your land and home, for you have filled it with sin and ruined it completely. ¹¹Suppose a prophet full of lies would say to you, “I’ll preach to you the joys of wine and alcohol!” That’s just the kind of prophet you would like!
And again...
Lamentations 2:14 (NLT)
Your prophets have said so many foolish things, false to the core. They did not save you from exile by pointing out your sins. Instead, they painted false pictures, filling you with false hope.
