Comfort And Healing

Please pray for my friend whose mother died today. His mother was his life, and now he’s hurting and lost. My friend is filled with so much pain and anger. He does have a sister who he hasn’t spoken to in many years because of a family disagreement. Please pray for peace, comfort, and healing of his relationship with his sister. Also, please ask God to give me guidance and wisdom in knowing how to comfort my friend. As you can imagine, there’s nothing I can say or do right now to make him feel better. I would like for God to use me in any way to help him, but I don’t know where or how to start, so I decided to start here with prayer. Thank you.

Dear Father, Abba,

I come to You tonight in prayer for Your vast comfort and peace and love and mercy and grace to be lavished upon this family as they grieve for their mother.

Help the anger to leave and peace and acceptance and love to come in to their hearts. Help the family to draw together now at this time and the sister and brother to mend their differences.

Let this time be a chance for them to forgive and let go of past disagreements and just love each other now in this time of sadness and loss. Help the sister to reach out toward her brother and the brother to reach out to his sister. They are family. Remind them of that bond.

I pray also for the dear friend who has asked for prayer for a dear friend. May all the prayers be answered twofold. And may this friend be a comfort and a blessing to this man.

Let Your peace beyond all understanding envelope all the hearts that are involved. May any that are not saved be saved and reconciled by you Lord.

The peace of Jesus Christ is now poured out upon this situation and all is well. Whatever the need or the problem, divine love is always the answer; and you, your friend and your friend's sister are all living expressions of divine love. Divine love now fulfills your every need and the needs of your friend and your friend's sister. Amen.
