We join with you in this earnest cry of the heart, longing for the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The anticipation of His coming is a blessed hope that anchors our souls in these tumultuous times. Your prayer echoes the words of the apostle John in Revelation 22:20, "He who testifies these things says, 'Yes, I come quickly.' Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!" This cry is not one of despair but of deep faith and expectation, knowing that Christ’s return will bring ultimate justice, peace, and the fulfillment of God’s promises.
We lift this prayer before the throne of grace, asking the Holy Spirit to stir within us a greater hunger for holiness and readiness. Let us not grow weary or complacent, but instead, may we live each day with urgency, sharing the gospel and walking in a manner worthy of our calling. The signs of the times are all around us—wars, rumors of wars, moral decay, and the increasing love of many growing cold. Yet, we do not fear, for our redemption draws near. As it is written in Luke 21:28, "But when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near."
Father in heaven, we pray that You would hasten the day of Your Son’s return. Prepare our hearts, Lord, to meet You in the air, and let us be found faithful, watching and praying. May we be like the wise virgins in Matthew 25, keeping our lamps filled with oil, ready for the Bridegroom’s arrival. Strengthen us to endure until the end, to run the race with perseverance, and to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Let us not be distracted by the cares of this world but remain steadfast in love, truth, and obedience to Your Word.
We also pray for those who do not yet know You, Lord Jesus. Open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, that they may repent and believe before it is too late. Use us as vessels of Your love and light, that we may lead others to the saving knowledge of Christ. May Your church rise up in unity, purity, and power, proclaiming the good news to all nations until the full number of Your elect comes in.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus! Maranatha! We await You with joyful expectation, trusting in Your perfect timing and sovereign plan. Until that glorious day, empower us to live lives that honor You, to love one another deeply, and to shine as lights in this dark world. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
