### needs to wake up from his ego and realize the truth about himself.

To wake up and realize that his toxic co-dependent ex is still lingering in his energy and life and trying to keep control over his emotions, mind, and his money. He needs to realize that she has been the one putting a spell on him the whole time of their connection, preventing him from forming real connections with other people because of her mental emotional control, and he needs the courage to drop her from his life for good. He needs to accept his shadow and work on it, drop his ego, and see the light for what it is.

We hear the deep concern in this request, and our hearts ache for this individual who is entangled in a toxic and spiritually harmful situation. The Bible warns us clearly about the dangers of unhealthy attachments and the influence of those who seek to control rather than love. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). This passage speaks directly to the bondage this person may be experiencing—one that is not of God and is rooted in manipulation rather than godly love.

First, we must address the mention of "spells" and energy control. While the world may speak of such things, we know that any power over a person’s mind, emotions, or life that is not of God is under the influence of the enemy. The Bible tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). This individual must recognize that the struggle is spiritual, and the only way to break free is through the power of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved or delivered from such bondage (Acts 4:12). If this person does not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge them to turn to Him, repent of any sin, and invite Him into their life. Salvation is the first step to true freedom.

The request also speaks of a "toxic co-dependent ex" who has exerted control over this person’s emotions, mind, and even finances. This is not the way of Christ. God calls us to love one another, but love does not manipulate, dominate, or seek to own another person. "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil" (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). This relationship has clearly strayed far from God’s design for love and companionship. We must rebuke the spirit of control and manipulation in the name of Jesus and command it to leave this person’s life. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).

The mention of "shadow" and ego also points to a need for deep spiritual healing and humility. The Bible tells us that pride goes before destruction (Proverbs 16:18), and this person’s ego may be blinding them to the truth of their situation. They must humble themselves before God and seek His wisdom. "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). True healing begins when we acknowledge our brokenness and surrender it to Christ. This person must also examine their own heart and repent of any sin that has given the enemy a foothold in their life, whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, or participation in ungodly soul ties.

We must also address the need for this individual to completely sever ties with this toxic ex. The Bible warns us about the dangers of lingering attachments to those who do not walk in the light. "Bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33). This person must have the courage to walk away and trust God to heal their heart. They must also guard their heart against forming new unhealthy attachments until they are spiritually strong and whole in Christ. "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" (Proverbs 4:23).

Let us pray together for this individual:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this person who is bound by toxic influences and spiritual darkness. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of their situation. Break the chains of manipulation, control, and co-dependency that have kept them in bondage. We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, control, and pride in the name of Jesus Christ, and we command it to leave this person’s life now. Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the strength and courage to walk away from this toxic relationship for good.

Lord, we pray for healing in their heart, mind, and spirit. Help them to see themselves as You see them—beloved, redeemed, and free in Christ. Teach them to humble themselves before You and to seek Your wisdom in all things. Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where the enemy has gained a foothold, and we pray for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

We pray that this person would come to know You, Lord Jesus, if they do not already. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may experience the freedom and salvation that only comes through faith in You. Help them to resist the devil and to stand firm in their faith, knowing that You have already overcome the world (John 16:33).

Father, we ask that You would surround this person with godly influences—believers who will speak truth into their life and encourage them in their walk with You. Give them the strength to guard their heart and to pursue relationships that honor You. Lord, we pray for their finances, that You would provide for their needs and protect them from any further exploitation. May they learn to trust in You as their Provider and to seek Your kingdom first in all things (Matthew 6:33).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill this person with Your peace, joy, and hope. May they experience the fullness of life that You offer, free from the chains of the past. We trust in Your power to heal, restore, and redeem. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage this individual to seek out a biblical church community where they can grow in their faith and find support. The journey to healing and freedom is not one that should be walked alone. Surrounding oneself with fellow believers who can offer prayer, accountability, and encouragement is vital. Additionally, we urge them to spend time in God’s Word daily, allowing Scripture to renew their mind and transform their heart (Romans 12:2). If they have not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we pray they would do so without delay, for today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). There is no better time than now to turn to Jesus and experience the freedom and new life He offers.

We're here for you, friend. It's clear that you're in a situation that's not healthy or honoring to God. We want to encourage you to take a step back and really look at the truth of your situation. It's hard to see the forest when you're in the trees, but we believe that God wants to open your eyes to what's really going on.

First, we want to remind you that you're not alone in this. We're praying for you, and we believe that God is with you, every step of the way. He loves you so much, and He wants the best for you. That's why He's calling you to wake up and realize the truth about yourself and your situation.

We know it's not easy to admit when we've been co-dependent or have allowed someone to control our emotions, mind, and even our money. But the first step to freedom is acknowledging the truth. It's like Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32).

We also want to remind you that any power over your mind, emotions, or life that's not of God is under the influence of the enemy. But take heart, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You have the power of Jesus Christ living in you, and that power is more than enough to break any chain or bondage.

Friend, we urge you to turn to Jesus if you haven't already. He's the only way to true freedom and salvation. And if you know Him, we encourage you to humble yourself before Him, seek His wisdom, and surrender any sin in your life to Him.

Remember, God is with you. He loves you. And He wants to help you. Trust in Him, and take that first step towards freedom. We're here for you, every step of the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind.
