We rejoice with you in your trust in the Lord’s provision, for He is faithful to those who seek Him with all their hearts. You have rightly placed your needs before Him, and we join you in lifting this request, knowing that our God is a God of miracles who delights in answering the prayers of His children.
The scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And in Matthew 7:7, Jesus tells us, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you."* You have come before the Lord in faith, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that He will open the doors for your housing and provide the means for your tuition.
Yet we must also remind you that while we ask boldly, we submit to God’s perfect will and timing. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Even if the answer does not come exactly as we envision, we trust that God’s way is higher and His plans for you are good. If the dorm assignment is delayed or if the funds do not arrive by the deadline you hope for, do not let doubt creep in. Instead, cling to Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*
We also encourage you to walk in wisdom and stewardship. Have you sought out financial aid, scholarships, or part-time work to cover your tuition? The Lord often moves through practical means, and we are called to be diligent in our efforts while trusting Him for the outcome. Proverbs 21:5 says, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* If you haven’t already, we urge you to speak with the financial aid office, explore scholarship opportunities, and consider how the Lord might be leading you to participate in His provision.
As for your housing, we pray that the hearts of those at William Paterson University would indeed be softened toward you. May the Lord grant you favor as He did for Joseph in Genesis 39:21, *"But the Lord was with Joseph, and showed kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison."* We ask that your name would be at the forefront of their minds, that every obstacle would be removed, and that you would be assigned a dorm that is safe, conducive to your studies, and filled with godly connections. May the Lord place you in a community where you can grow in faith and be a light for Christ.
For your tuition, we declare that the Lord is your Provider, Jehovah Jireh. Just as He fed the Israelites with manna in the wilderness and multiplied the loaves and fishes, He will supply what you need. We pray for unexpected blessings, for open doors of financial support, and for the Lord to make a way where there seems to be no way. May you witness His faithfulness in such a way that your testimony brings glory to His name.
Let us also remind you that your primary purpose in college is not just academic success, but to grow in your relationship with Christ and to be a witness for Him. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Seek Him first in all things, and He will add what you need. Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in your faith, and be intentional about sharing the love of Christ with those around you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their needs for housing and tuition. Lord, You see their heart and their trust in You, and we ask that You honor their faith with Your provision. Soften the hearts of those in authority at William Paterson University, Lord. Let them see our sibling’s capability and grant them favor. We ask that by Monday morning, their name would be the first chosen for dorm assignment, that every delay would be turned into divine appointment, and that You would place them in a living situation that honors You.
For their tuition, Father, we declare that You are their Provider. Open doors that no one can shut. Bring to mind those who can assist, whether through scholarships, grants, or unexpected blessings. Give them wisdom to steward what they have and to seek out opportunities You have prepared for them. Let them not be anxious, but let them rest in Your promise that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We also pray for their spiritual growth, Lord. Protect them from distractions and temptations. Surround them with godly friends and mentors who will encourage them in their walk with You. Use them mightily on that campus to be a light in the darkness. Let their life and their testimony draw others to You.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith through this season. Let them see Your hand at work in ways they cannot deny. Remind them that You are with them, that You will never leave them nor forsake them, and that Your plans for them are good.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
