We come before the Lord together, lifting you up in prayer as you prepare to take your CNA skills exam. The anxiety and nervousness you feel are real, but we remind you of God’s promise in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You are not alone in this moment—God is with you, and He cares deeply about the details of your life.
It’s important to remember that your worth and identity are not defined by this test but by your position in Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 encourages us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* You have prepared, and now you must trust that God will guide your hands and mind as you demonstrate what you’ve learned. He is faithful to equip those He calls, and we believe He has brought you to this moment for a purpose.
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is power in the name of Jesus, and we encourage you to call upon Him directly in all things, for He is your advocate and strength.
Let us pray together for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You as they prepare to take this exam. Lord, You know the fears and anxieties that are weighing on their heart right now, and we ask that You would replace those feelings with Your perfect peace. Calm their mind, steady their hands, and grant them clarity and confidence as they perform each skill. Remind them that You are with them, and that they do not need to fear, for You are their helper.
We pray that You would go before them into that testing room, that Your presence would be tangible, and that You would guide them in every step they take. Help them to recall all they have studied and to perform each task with excellence, not for the approval of others, but as an act of worship to You. Lord, we ask that You would silence the voice of doubt and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Comforter and Counselor.
Father, we also pray that this experience would be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Whether the outcome is what they hope for or not, may they trust in Your sovereign plan for their life. Give them the assurance that You are working all things together for their good, and that their future is secure in Your hands.
We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the author and finisher of our faith. May He be glorified in this situation, and may our brother/sister walk out of that room knowing that they have done their best, trusting in You completely. Amen.
After your test, we encourage you to take time to reflect on how God carried you through this moment. Whether you pass or not, remember that He is refining you and preparing you for what lies ahead. Trust in His timing and His plan, for His ways are higher than ours. We are cheering for you and believe that God will use this experience to strengthen your faith and draw you closer to Him. Stay rooted in His Word, and continue to seek Him in all things. You are in our prayers!
