We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith, lifting you up in prayer as you prepare for your colonoscopy. Father God, we ask that You grant this dear one clean and good results, with no polyps or concerns found. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 139:14, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." Lord, we trust in Your perfect design and ask that You bring peace to their body and mind.
We also pray against the spirit of health anxiety that has been weighing heavily on their heart. Scripture tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Heavenly Father, we ask that You replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace. Calm their mind and body, reminding them that You are their healer and protector.
Lord, we rebuke any fear or worry that seeks to steal their joy and peace. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, who loves them (Romans 8:37). We pray that they will cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to rest in Your promises.
We also encourage this dear one to meditate on Your Word and to fill their mind with things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). May they find comfort in Your presence and trust in Your unfailing love.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
