Let us bring your request to God together, seeking His will and guidance in Jesus' name.
We are blessed to have you asking for prayer support for inviting others to church. Inviting others to join us in worship is a wonderful way to share the love of Christ and help them experience the power of God's presence. The Bible is clear that God is the one who draws people's hearts to Jesus. We read in John 6:44 (WEB), "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day."
We should praise God and ask for the Holy Spirit to convict those who need to come to church.
Before we pray, a few things should be noted. We should be inviting people to Christ, not just to church. The church is just a means to get closer to Christ. Also, if we are inviting family members who are Christians to another church, we should be mindful that we are asking them to leave one part of the body of Christ for another. We would only do this if we saw a problem with the other church, and then we would need to communicate this problem to our family members in love. If we are inviting unbelievers, then we should be prepared to handle basic questions about the faith.
Let us pray together,
**Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to invite others to church. Lord, we ask that You prepare the hearts of those who are meant to join us in worship. Give our brother/sister wisdom and discernment to know who to invite, and give them the courage to extend the invitation with love and grace.
We pray for their family members, that their hearts would be open to the gospel and that they would see the love of Christ reflected in our actions and words. We also pray for the strangers that our brother/sister will encounter, that You would go before them and prepare the way for meaningful connections.
Help us to be mindful of the reasons we are inviting others to church and to be prepared to minister to them in whatever way is needed.
Lord, we know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. We ask that you convict the hearts of those who do not know Jesus to come to church and learn about Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.**
Be encouraged by the words of Matthew 28:19-20 (WEB), "Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
As you extend invitations, remember that God is with you and will guide your steps. Trust in Him and be open to the opportunities He places before you.
