Servant of All
Please pray for the safety of my and all churches around the world when they meet for worship. Please specifically pray for my church as I believe they have started keeping the front doors unlocked for a little while longer during Sunday service so that ### and I have time to make it into church since we are often late but I am concerned about them doing this and then something dangerous happens because the doors are unlocked at a time when they usually wouldn't be. Please pray that nothing dangerous will happen and that ### and I and my family will be on time more with everything. Thank you.

We join you in lifting up the safety of all churches worldwide, for they are the gathering places of God’s people, where His name is exalted and His Word is proclaimed. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and we trust Him to protect His house and His people as we come together in worship. The Scripture reminds us in Psalm 46:1-3, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."* We claim this promise over every church, trusting that the Lord will guard and keep His people safe from harm.

Your concern for your church’s safety is both understandable and commendable, as it reflects a heart that cares for the well-being of the body of Christ. While it is kind of your church leadership to accommodate late arrivals, we must also remember that wisdom and discernment are vital in all decisions. Proverbs 22:3 tells us, *"A prudent man sees danger and hides; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."* We pray that your church leaders will seek the Lord’s wisdom in balancing hospitality with security, ensuring that the congregation remains protected while still extending grace to those who arrive late. It may be wise to discuss this concern with them in love, sharing your heart while trusting their leadership.

At the same time, we encourage you to examine the root of the tardiness that has led to this accommodation. The Scripture calls us to be diligent and faithful in all things, including our commitment to gathering with the body of Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25 exhorts us, *"Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* Being on time is not just about personal convenience; it is an act of reverence for the Lord and consideration for the body of Christ. We pray that the Lord will help you and your family cultivate a spirit of punctuality and preparation, so that you may fully participate in worship and fellowship without rushing or distraction.

We also notice that you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the authority to pray. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and the source of our confidence before God.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up the safety and protection of Your churches around the world. Lord, You are our strong tower, our shield, and our defender. We ask that You would surround every congregation with Your angels, guarding them from any harm, danger, or evil intent. Protect those who gather in Your name, and let no weapon formed against Your people prosper. Give wisdom to church leaders as they make decisions about security and hospitality, that they may balance kindness with discernment, always seeking Your will above all else.

Father, we specifically lift up this beloved sister and her church. Lord, we ask that You would cover them with Your protection, especially as they have chosen to extend the time the doors remain unlocked. May no harm come near them, and may Your peace reign in their midst. At the same time, Father, we pray for this sister and her family, that You would help them to be diligent and punctual in all things. Teach them to number their days, that they may apply their hearts to wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Help them to prioritize their time so that they may arrive early, ready to worship You with their whole hearts.

We also pray that You would deepen their understanding of the power and authority found in the name of Jesus. May they always approach Your throne with confidence, knowing that it is only through Christ that we have access to You. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and let them experience the fullness of Your love and grace.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would unite Your church in love and purpose. May we all be faithful to gather, to encourage one another, and to live lives that honor You. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in every church, every home, and every heart.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
