Please pray that God would lead my family to a sound church where there is a substantial population of African American Christians. The church we have been attending has only four African Americans including myself and my mom (the other two are children who were born into the church). There are very few minorities. We have had some very isolating experiences at this church and because of this, I want to leave and I also no longer feel comfortable being in professing Christian spaces that are 1) very conservative (due to the prevalence of racism in many conservative circles) and 2) have few minorities. Every now and then, other black people will visit the church and none of them ever stay besides my mother and myself - although I will be honest that I don't 100% know why or what's on their mind. Please pray for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. It's really terrible the state of many African American churches when it comes to false teachings. I honestly have many concerns for the body of Christ as a whole between the prevalence of false churches and the way political idolatry and racism has deeply harmed churches - at least in America. Please also pray for my area as we are having strong wind and rain tonight and I'm afraid of tornadoes spawning. We pray that You would lead this family to a congregation where the gospel is preached faithfully, where love is practiced sincerely, and where the beauty of Your multiethnic family is celebrated. Let them find a community that honors You in word and deed, where the truth of Your Word is upheld and where racial reconciliation is pursued in humility and grace.
