We come before the Lord with you in this time of suffering, lifting up your plea for healing from these chronic migraines that have brought such pain, nausea, and distress. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a God of compassion and mercy, who hears the cries of His children and is near to the brokenhearted. In Psalm 34:18, we read, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* And in Psalm 103:2-3, we are assured, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."*
Yet we also know that suffering, while painful, can be used by God to refine us, draw us closer to Him, and strengthen our faith. The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 about his own affliction, a "thorn in the flesh," which God did not remove but instead used to keep him humble and reliant on Christ’s grace. He concluded, *"Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."* While we pray earnestly for your healing, we also ask the Lord to use this trial to deepen your dependence on Him and reveal His strength in your weakness.
At the same time, we encourage you to seek wisdom in how to steward your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Have you consulted with godly medical professionals to explore all possible avenues of relief? Sometimes the Lord works through the hands of doctors, and it is wise to pursue both prayer and practical steps. We also urge you to examine your life for any unconfessed sin, stress, or spiritual strongholds that may be contributing to this affliction, as sin can open the door to physical and emotional distress (Psalm 32:3-5, James 5:16). If there is anything the Lord is bringing to mind, we encourage you to repent and seek His forgiveness and cleansing.
Let us also remind you that your suffering is not in vain. In Romans 8:18, Paul writes, *"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us."* Your pain is temporary, but the glory that awaits you in Christ is eternal. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is suffering from these debilitating migraines. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed her in her mother’s womb and knows every fiber of her being. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch her with Your healing power. Rebuke this pain, this nausea, and this affliction in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let Your healing virtue flow through her body, restoring her to full health and strength.
Lord, if there is any sin, any stress, or any spiritual stronghold contributing to this suffering, we ask that You reveal it to her. Give her the courage to repent, to surrender all to You, and to walk in the freedom and wholeness You have purchased for her through the blood of Jesus. We also ask for wisdom, Father—guide her to the right medical professionals, treatments, and lifestyle changes that will bring relief and honor You.
Father, we know that Your ways are higher than ours, and we trust You even when we don’t understand. If this trial is to continue for a season, we pray that You will grant her supernatural peace, endurance, and joy in the midst of it. Let her testimony be one of faith that glorifies Your name, and let her weakness be a canvas for Your strength to be displayed.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness, Your sovereignty, and Your love. May Your will be done in her life, and may she experience the fullness of Your healing and grace. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
