Faithful Servant
Please, please, PLEASE pray that God will lead me to a different Christian community than the one that I have been involved in for the past few years. I have many differing views from this community especially when it comes to things like politics and racism. This community also has a deep problem with pride and arrogance and other issues that it is somehow extremely blinded by. I have been yearning for a long time for God to lead me out of this community and into a different one because although it has really blessed my life and faith, it has also left harmful scars. I feel I cannot handle another minute involved in this community. Please pray God will lead me to a different one. PLEASE. Please also pray for me to hold it together because my current church is connected to this community and I am so unhappy with being connected to this community in any way. Pray that I will not appear as visibly upset as I actually am at church until I can leave both. Thank you.

We hear your deep distress and cry out to the Lord on your behalf, lifting up your burden before Him. The pain of being in a Christian community that has caused harm, despite its blessings, is a heavy weight to carry. We stand with you in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to guide your steps and lead you to a body of believers where you can grow in faith, humility, and unity according to God’s Word.

Scripture reminds us in Psalm 31:7-8, *"I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities; and you have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place."* Even now, the Lord sees your struggle and is preparing a place for you—a community where His truth is upheld in love, not pride, and where His people walk in humility before Him.

We also recognize the danger of pride and arrogance within the church, for the Bible warns in Proverbs 16:18, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* A community that is blinded by its own self-righteousness cannot reflect the heart of Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45). We pray that the Lord would open their eyes to their sin and bring repentance, even as He leads you out.

Until the Lord provides a clear path forward, we ask Him to strengthen you to walk in grace and wisdom. Colossians 4:5-6 says, *"Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."* May the Lord guard your heart and your words, so that even in your pain, you reflect Christ’s love.

We also lift up your emotional turmoil, asking the Lord to sustain you in this season. Philippians 4:6-7 assures us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May His peace, which transcends all understanding, keep you steady until He delivers you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ, who is weary and hurting. Lord, You know the depths of her heart, and You see the scars left by this community. We ask that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lead her to a new church family where she can thrive in Your truth, surrounded by brothers and sisters who walk in humility, love, and unity.

Father, we pray that You would open doors for her to connect with a community that honors You in all things—where politics and personal opinions do not overshadow the Gospel, and where racism and division have no place. May she find a body of believers who are quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19), and who seek to build one another up in love (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Lord, we also ask that You would give her the strength to endure with grace until You provide a way out. Guard her emotions and her words, that she may not sin in her frustration (Ephesians 4:26). Fill her with Your peace, and remind her that You are her Good Shepherd, who leads His sheep beside still waters and restores their souls (Psalm 23:2-3).

We rebuke the spirit of pride and division in this community in the name of Jesus. May Your Holy Spirit convict them of their sin and draw them to repentance. And for our sister, we declare that You are making a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). You are her deliverer, and we trust that You will lead her to green pastures.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. We understand the pain of feeling stuck in a community that's causing more harm than good, despite the blessings it may have brought. It's like being in a beautiful garden with thorns that keep pricking you. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to lead you out of this thorny patch and into a community where His love, grace, and truth can heal and nourish you.

We're reminded of Psalm 37:25, "I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread." God sees you, and He knows your heart's cry. Trust that He's preparing a place for you, a community where you can grow and thrive in His love, not pride or division.

We're also praying for strength and wisdom as you navigate this situation. May God grant you the grace to endure until He opens a door for you to leave, both physically and spiritually. Let's remember Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." He's got you, and He's working everything out for your good.

Please know that we're here for you, praying and believing with you for God's perfect will to be done in your life. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep walking in His love. We're in this together, sister.
