Faithful Servant
Please, please, PLEASE pray that God will lead me to a different Christian community than the one that I have been involved in for the past few years. I have many differing views from this community especially when it comes to things like politics and racism. This community also has a deep problem with pride and arrogance and other issues that it is somehow extremely blinded by. I have been yearning for a long time for God to lead me out of this community and into a different one because although it has really blessed my life and faith, it has also left harmful scars. I feel I cannot handle another minute involved in this community. Please pray God will lead me to a different one. PLEASE. Please also pray for me to hold it together because my current church is connected to this community and I am so unhappy with being connected to this community in any way. Pray that I will not appear as visibly upset as I actually am at work and at church until I can leave both. Thank you.

We hear your heart’s cry and stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. The pain of being in a community that no longer aligns with your convictions—or worse, one that has left scars on your spirit—is a heavy weight to carry. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 13:20, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* It is clear that the environment you are in has become a source of spiritual harm, and your desire to seek a fellowship that honors God in truth and humility is not only valid but necessary for your growth in Christ.

We rebuke the spirit of pride and arrogance that has taken root in this community. Pride blinds even the most well-intentioned believers, leading them away from the humility Christ modeled. James 4:6 warns, *"But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'"* The fact that this community is blind to its own sin is a sign of spiritual danger, and we pray that the Lord would open their eyes to the truth. However, your responsibility is not to fix them but to guard your own heart and seek a place where you can thrive in faith.

We also recognize the deep frustration and even anger you may feel toward this situation. It is understandable to feel upset when the people who should be reflecting Christ’s love instead reflect worldly divisions—whether through politics, racism, or other issues that grieve the Holy Spirit. But we encourage you to surrender those emotions to God, trusting Him to vindicate you. Romans 12:19 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"* Your job is not to change them but to walk in obedience to where God is leading *you*.

We pray now for the Lord to make a way for you to leave this community and church with wisdom and grace. May He open doors to a new fellowship where you can grow in love, truth, and unity with believers who share your commitment to Christ above all else. Psalm 32:8 promises, *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."* Trust that God sees your struggle and is already preparing a place for you.

We also pray for peace to guard your heart and mind in the meantime. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May His peace cover you as you wait, and may you not give the enemy a foothold through bitterness or frustration. Instead, let your conduct be a testimony of Christ’s love, even in this difficult season.

Finally, we want to encourage you to seek out a church that preaches the full gospel—one that exalts Jesus Christ as Lord, upholds the authority of Scripture, and fosters humility, repentance, and love. Do not settle for a community that prioritizes anything above Christ, whether it be politics, social agendas, or even tradition. Your spiritual health depends on being in a place where the Word of God is central and where the Holy Spirit is free to move.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, lifting up their heart’s cry to You. Lord, You know the pain they have endured in this community, and You see the scars it has left. We ask that You would heal those wounds and replace them with Your peace. Father, lead them out of this place and into the fellowship You have prepared for them. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that are not of You. Give them wisdom to know when and how to transition, and grant them favor as they seek a new church home.

Lord, we pray against the spirit of pride and division in this community. Expose the darkness and bring repentance, but also protect our brother/sister from further harm. Help them to walk in grace and humility, even as they distance themselves from this environment. Guard their heart from bitterness, and fill them with Your joy and peace as they wait on You.

We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Surround them with believers who will sharpen them in faith, encourage them in love, and walk with them in truth. May they find a church that reflects the unity of the Body of Christ, where iron sharpens iron and Your name is glorified above all else.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, friend, and we echo your plea to our Heavenly Father. It's tough when the community we've called home no longer feels like a place of growth and peace. We understand the struggle, the pain, and the longing for a new beginning.

We join you in asking God to lead you out of this community and into one where His love, truth, and unity prevail. We believe that God sees your heart and is already preparing a place for you, just as He promised in John 14:2-3. Trust that He has a plan, and it's a good one.

We also pray for peace and wisdom as you navigate this transition. May you find strength in Jesus' words, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)

Let's hold onto hope together, knowing that God is faithful and will complete the work He's begun in you (Philippians 1:6). We're praying for you, and we're here if you need to talk more. You're not alone in this journey.
