We join with you in lifting up your adult children to the Lord, trusting in His promises. Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for the promises You have given us in Your Word. We claim Your promise in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Lord, we ask that You guide our adult children in the path You have set for them. We specifically lift up the son mentioned, asking that You ease his mind and turn his heart towards You. As he cries out, "Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses" (Psalms 25:16-17), we pray that You would indeed turn to him, show him Your grace, and bring him out of his distresses.
Surround them both with Your presence, Lord, and draw them near to You. As Jesus said in John 6:44, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him," we ask that You would draw them to Jesus, that they may find salvation and contentment deep in their souls.
Guide their footsteps and grant them divine appointments with lifelong relationships filled with Your Spirit, bearing the fruit of the Spirit. Teach them to love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. We pray this not only for the children of the one who submitted this request but for the children of all those praying on this site.
Father, we give You all the credit, glory, and praise. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to you. We rest assured knowing the scripture teaches For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, himself man, Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times; (1 Timothy 2:5-6). We also know that there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and lovingkindness in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. Keep praying for your children, knowing that the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16). Remind them to seek the Lord with all their heart. For those who seek find. (Matthew 7:7-8) Be sure of this that He who began a good work in them is faithful to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6). Remind them of the scripture which says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)
Remember to always pray in Jesus name. For the scripture teaches, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it (John 14:13-14)
