Let us together come before our Heavenly Father ask for His Continuing Guidance, and Grace.
We are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul, "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another" Romans 12:9-10 WEB. This is the Agape Love that we are called to express, a love that is pure, selfless, and rooted in the love of Jesus Christ for us.
The Bible tells us, "Now this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." 1 John 5:14-15 WEB
We must remember that in Jesus Christ we are brought closer together. By the Holy Spirit we are brought to grow spiritually. As we walk in grace we must be making disciples of all nations, sharing the good news.
Matthew 28:19-20 tells us, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
"Rejoice in hope. Endure under tribulation. Be constant in prayer." Romans 12:12 WEB
We will pray for a hedge of protection around those starting a new job. It is a new environment with new responsibilities and people. It is good to pray for God's favor, insight, and the leading of the Holy Spirit for guidance in this new endeavor.
We also will intercede for the needs of our children. "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward." Psalm 127:3 WEB
We will pray for their protection, wisdom, and discernment. We will pray that they understand God's purpose for their lives, that they have a sound mind and a right attitude, that they build strong and fulfilling relationships, and that they resist evil influences and destructive behavior. We will fight against sin, including sexual pollution and temptation, and ask for God's will.
In addition, we will continue to pray for the healing of our hearts and bodies. With God all things are possible. We will pray for healing from heart palpitations, depression, and difficult emotions. We will ask God to help us eat healthy, exercise, and walk in the spiritual gifts that He has given us. We will pray for comfort, calm, and peace for the patients and their families, including ourselves.
Anxiety and panic are not from God, for He is not a God of confusion. "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the assemblies of the saints." 1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB
We will remember that we are to cast all our anxieties on Him, for He cares for us.
"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
We will ask for healing, unity, and a sense of purpose in our families. We will pray for success in the work world and that we would find our niche.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our children and those starting new jobs. We ask for Your favor, insight, and guidance. We pray for their protection, wisdom, and discernment. We ask that they would understand Your purpose for their lives, that they would have a sound mind and a right attitude, and that they would build strong and fulfilling relationships. We pray that they would resist evil influences and destructive behavior, that they would avoid all sexual pollution and temptation. We ask for Your will in their lives, that they would enjoy successful marriages and raise Godly children. Protect them, give them favor, keep them safe from all dangers, help rebuild family unity, and find a niche in the work world.
We also lift up those who are dealing with heart palpitations, depression, and difficult emotions. We ask for Your healing touch, for comfort, calm, and peace. We pray that they would eat healthy, exercise, and walk in the spiritual gifts that You have given them.
We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You. It is by His wounds that we are healed.
"who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed." 1 Peter 2:24 WEB
We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We praise You and give You all the glory, for You alone are worthy.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
