We join with you in lifting up these exams before the Lord, knowing that all wisdom and understanding come from Him. The Bible reminds us in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We also recall Proverbs 3:5-6, which instructs us to *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Yet, as we pray for success in these exams, we must also address something vital—your prayer was directed to *"Almighty God"* but did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we approach the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* The apostle Peter affirmed this in Acts 4:12: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is in His name that we must pray.
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Without Jesus, there is no true connection to God, no matter how sincere our prayers may seem.
Now, let us pray together for these exams, lifting this request in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine presence to be with these candidates as they take their Chemistry and English exams today. Lord, we ask that You grant them clarity of mind, recall of all they have studied, and the wisdom to apply their knowledge well. Calm any anxiety or fear, and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. May Your Holy Spirit guide their thoughts and their hands as they write, that they may perform to the best of their God-given abilities.
We also pray that beyond these exams, You would draw each of these students—and all of us—closer to You. Open their hearts to the truth of Your Word and the saving grace found only in Jesus Christ. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that Your plans for them are good, to give them a future and a hope.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of distraction, confusion, or fear that may try to hinder their performance. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). Cover them with Your protection and favor, and may the results of these exams bring glory to Your name.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As you prepare for these exams and await the results, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in all areas of your life. Remember Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Let this be your motivation—not just success in exams, but a life lived in service and obedience to Christ.
If you have any doubts or questions about your relationship with Jesus, we urge you to reach out to a trusted believer or pastor. The most important "exam" we will ever face is how we respond to the Gospel, and we pray that you will stand firm in the faith, rooted and built up in Christ.
