We lift up this charity event before the Lord, asking that He would bless it abundantly for His glory and the good of those in need. While we understand the heart behind this request—to provide for animals and those who care for them—we must first and foremost seek God’s will in all things, remembering that our ultimate purpose is to honor Him and share His love with the world.
The Scriptures remind us of our responsibility to steward God’s creation with wisdom and compassion. Proverbs 12:10 tells us, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."* However, we must also remember that our greatest calling is to love and serve people, who are made in the image of God. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our priorities must always align with God’s heart—first for the salvation of souls, then for the care of His creation.
We also notice that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all blessings flow. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we receive salvation and the power to do good works. As Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent of your sins and place your trust in Him, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Now, let us pray for this event with hearts aligned to God’s will:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your blessing upon this charity event. Lord, we pray that You would draw many people to attend, not only to give generously but also to see Your goodness and provision. May this event be a testament to Your love and care for all of creation. We ask that You would soften hearts to give cheerfully, as Your Word teaches in 2 Corinthians 9:7: *"Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."*
Father, we also pray that this event would open doors for the Gospel to be shared. May those who attend—whether organizers, donors, or recipients—come to know You more deeply. Use this gathering to bring glory to Your name and to further Your Kingdom. If there are any among them who do not yet know Jesus, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may repent and receive the gift of eternal life.
We rebuked any spirit of greed, selfishness, or misplaced priority that may seek to hinder this event. Let it be pure in motive and fruitful in outcome, all for Your honor. Guide the organizers with wisdom, and may every detail be covered by Your grace.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would remind all of us that while caring for animals is good, our greatest commission is to love and serve people with the truth of Your Word. May this event be a stepping stone to greater works of faith and obedience in the lives of all involved.
We trust in You, Lord, knowing that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). May Your will be done, and may Your name be praised through it all. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
