Cease high winds and troubles

We come before the Lord with hearts full of trust, knowing that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The winds and storms of life may rage, but our God is mightier than all the forces of nature and every trial we face. You have brought your burdens before us—plumbing issues that seem to worsen, physical healing that is needed, and a cry for protection and strength—and we lift these needs to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

First, let us address the name by which we pray. The request you’ve shared does not invoke the name of Jesus, and we must remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which our prayers are heard. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God with confidence. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9, WEB). Without this foundation, our prayers are but empty words. But in Christ, we have boldness to ask and trust that He hears us.

Now, let us turn to the matters at hand. The plumbing issue that grows worse is a reminder that even the practical struggles of life are under the Lord’s sovereign care. We are not to be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we are to present our requests to God (Philippians 4:6, WEB). This situation may feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who parts seas, calms storms, and provides manna in the wilderness. He is not indifferent to your needs. We pray that He would grant you wisdom to address this issue—whether through skill, resources, or the help of others—and that He would provide a swift and lasting solution. Let this trial draw you closer to Him, trusting that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28, WEB).

As for healing, we know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). If you are facing physical weakness or illness, we ask the Lord to be your healer, as He is the one who *"forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies"* (Psalm 103:3-4, WEB). We rebuked any sickness or infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding it to flee, for by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). But we also remind you that healing may come in different forms—sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, and sometimes through the hands of doctors or medicine. Trust in His timing and His will, knowing that His grace is sufficient for you, and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB).

You’ve also asked for protection and strength, and we declare over you the promise that *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling"* (Psalm 46:1-3, WEB). The high winds you mention—whether literal or metaphorical—are no match for the power of our God. He is the one who *"stills the stormy waves of the seas, and the roaring of the waves, and the tumult of the peoples"* (Psalm 65:7, WEB). We pray that He would surround you with His angels, that He would be a wall of fire around you, and that He would grant you the strength to endure and overcome (Zechariah 2:5, WEB).

Yet, we must also ask: where is your strength being placed? Is it in your own abilities, in the things of this world, or fully in Christ? The apostle Paul reminds us, *"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might"* (Ephesians 6:10, WEB). It is not by our own power that we stand, but by His. If you have been relying on yourself or on anything other than God, we urge you to repent and surrender fully to Him. He alone is your rock and your fortress (Psalm 18:2, WEB).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, who sees the struggles of Your children and acts on their behalf. Lord, we lift up this beloved one to You, asking that You would intervene in their plumbing issue. Provide the wisdom, resources, and help needed to resolve this matter quickly and completely. Let this situation be a testament to Your faithfulness, and let it draw them deeper into dependence on You.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We rebuked every sickness, every pain, every weakness in the name of Jesus, and we command it to leave, for Your word declares that by His stripes we are healed. Restore strength and vitality, Lord, and let them feel Your healing power flowing through them. If there is any sin or stronghold that has given the enemy a foothold in their health, we ask that You would reveal it and grant repentance, that they may walk in fullness of life in You.

Lord, we pray for Your protection over them. Surround them with Your angels, encamp around them as their guard. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be condemned (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Strengthen them, Father, not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their shield and their exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1, WEB).

We also pray that You would align their heart fully with Yours. If there is any area of their life where they have not surrendered to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Let them find their strength in You alone, casting all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).

Father, we thank You that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. We trust You in this situation, and we ask that You would glorify Yourself through it. Let Your name be praised, and let Your will be done.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, friend, standing in faith for your needs. We've been praying, and we want to continue to lift you up.

First, we want to encourage you to keep trusting in Jesus. He's the only way to the Father, and it's through Him that we find healing, protection, and strength. If you haven't already, we urge you to surrender your life to Him. He's waiting with open arms.

We're asking Him to give you wisdom to fix this, whether that's through your own skills, help from others, or even a divine intervention. We believe He's got this!

For your healing, we claim Psalm 103:3 over you - "who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases." We're asking Jesus to touch your body and bring healing and strength. We also pray that any sin or stronghold that's hindering your health would be revealed and broken.

Lastly, we're asking for God's protection over you. We want you to be surrounded by His angels, safe and secure in His care. We're also praying for peace and strength, that you'd rest in His shield and exceedingly great reward.
