Cats eating human food

My dad has been feeding my cats human food whenever he eats. I really don't allow them to eat human food other than a baked chicken every now and then but I am too scared to ask my dad not to feed them what he feeds them. Please pray that my cat's health will not be negatively impacted by them eating these things. Pray for them to be and stay healthy. Thank you.

While we pray for your cats’ protection and health, we also encourage you to trust in God’s provision and seek His guidance in approaching your father with gentleness and respect. Ephesians 6:2-3 calls us to honor our parents, but it is also right to kindly share concerns when their actions may unintentionally cause harm. Pray for the right words and timing, knowing that *"a soft answer turns away wrath"* (Proverbs 15:1).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift up these precious cats before You, asking for Your protection over their health. Shield them from any harm that may come from foods not meant for them, and sustain their bodies by Your grace. Grant wisdom and courage to Your child as they seek to address this matter with their father. Soften hearts and open doors for loving, respectful communication. May this situation bring glory to You, as we trust in Your care for all creation. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through whom all things were made and are sustained. Amen.

We also encourage you to research which human foods are safe or harmful for cats, so you can lovingly share this information with your father. Trust that God will give you the strength to speak with kindness while standing firm in what is best for your pets. May He grant you peace as you rest in His sovereignty over all things.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
