Let us come together in prayer for this precious cat. It is clear that you are concerned about her decreased appetite and desire for her to gain weight.
Firstly, we must acknowledge Who to go to in prayer. Since prayer is a request to God and is a form of worship, it must be offered only to the proper recipient. It is only in Jesus' name that we can approach God. The Bible says,
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (WEB)
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB)
In every situation, no matter what it is, we are called to come boldly before God's throne in prayer and ask for His will to be done. In this case, let us pray for this cat's health and well-being, asking God to intervene and restore her appetite.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this precious cat to You. Lord, You are our healer and provider, and we know that You care for all of Your creatures, great and small. We ask You to restore her appetite and help her to gain weight. Lord help her to eat the proper amount and type of food. Please guide her owners with Your wisdom and knowledge, and show them how to best care for her.
In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We also want to encourage you to continue trusting in God's care and provision. The Bible tells us that God cares for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, and that He will also care for us and our pets.
Don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)
Lastly, we need to say that God created all life to reproduce after its own kind. The Bible says to let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. In this context, we should be careful to not elevate animals over mankind. Man and woman are created in God's image and animals are not. It is easy for humans to love animals and to grieve for them when they are not healthy; however, we need to be careful to love the Lord and other people above all.
Therefore let us be careful to not have any animal become an idol. This is a clear violation of the 10 Commandments and the verse that summarizes them. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40 (WEB)
