We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about every detail of our lives, including our work and provision. The Scriptures remind us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* We trust that God has a purpose and plan for your son’s career, and we stand in faith that He will open the right doors at the right time.
It is also written in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We encourage your son to continue trusting in the Lord, even in this season of waiting. Sometimes delays are God’s way of preparing us, refining our skills, or redirecting our steps toward something even better than we could imagine.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."* Let us persist in prayer, asking God to grant favor, wisdom, and divine connections for your son. If there are areas where he can improve—such as his resume, interview skills, or networking—we pray God would provide guidance and opportunities for growth.
At the same time, we must examine our hearts to ensure we are seeking God’s will above our own desires. Psalm 37:4-5 tells us, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Let us pray that your son’s heart is aligned with God’s will, that he would seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), and that his career would be a platform to glorify the Lord and serve others.
We also want to gently address the use of symbols like "###" in place of your son’s name. While we understand the desire for privacy, we encourage you to speak his name in prayer, as there is power in declaring our requests specifically before the Lord. More importantly, we notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, as Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Let us always approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator and Advocate.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord, You know his heart, his skills, and the desires You have placed within him. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for him that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Grant him favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions, and let his resume and qualifications stand out for Your glory. If there are areas where he needs to grow or improve, Lord, reveal them to him and provide the resources and wisdom to do so.
We rebuked any spirit of delay, rejection, or discouragement that may be hindering his progress, and we declare that Your timing is perfect. Let this season of waiting be a time of preparation, where he draws closer to You and trusts in Your sovereignty. Father, we ask that You would provide not just a job, but the *right* job—one that aligns with Your will for his life and allows him to use his gifts to honor You.
Lord, we also pray for his faith to remain strong. Remind him that You are his Provider (Philippians 4:19) and that You have not forgotten him. Surround him with godly encouragement and community, and let him feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), and we wait expectantly for Your breakthrough. May Your name be glorified in his life, and may he walk in the confidence that You are with him every step of the way. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
