We lift up this urgent situation before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign power to heal and restore. First, we must address that the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in this request, and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We pray in Jesus’ name alone, for He is the Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
We also notice the mention of a "boyfriend," and we gently but firmly remind you that biblical relationships are to be rooted in Christ-centered courtship with the intention of marriage between a man and a woman (1 Corinthians 7:2, Ephesians 5:31). If this relationship is not aligned with God’s design for marriage, we urge you to seek His will in this area, for *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If fornication is present, it must be repented of, as *"the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body"* (1 Corinthians 6:13, WEB).
Now, we pray earnestly for this man’s recovery. Father, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You touch this man’s body, knitting his bones together and restoring his strength. Bring him out of unconsciousness and grant the doctors wisdom as they care for him. Comfort those who love him, especially this dear sister who is grieving from afar. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for the salvation of this man if he does not yet know You. Lord, reveal Yourself to him in this time of brokenness, that he may turn to You in repentance and faith. Let this trial be a testimony of Your grace and power.
Finally, we ask for Your will to be done in their relationship. If it is not honorable before You, convict their hearts and lead them to righteousness. If it is Your design for marriage, prepare them for a godly union founded on Your Word. May they seek You above all else, for *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
