Can't Wrap My Mind Around It

Today, I ask for prayers for the family and friends of a 17 year old girl from our community who committed suicide last week. I pray for her soul, for God's love and compassion upon her. Ever since I heard this news, I cannot wrap my mind around it. This girl was the mother of a young child, a good student, an athlete. From the outside looking in, it seemed as though she was really turning her life around. How did she come to a place where she had absolutely no hope, no will to live - a place where hanging herself seemed like the best option she had? Somehow, we as a society failed here. I am praying that God would touch our hearts, open our eyes, tune our ears to the young people we are contact with on a daily basis. Let us pick up the subtle clues that signal trouble, despair. I have never understood suicide at any age, but this girl with a child of her own, not even out of high school really rattled me. May God mold us into compassionate people, willing to step out and help others in any way we can. Again, please pray for this girl's soul, her daughter and all those left behind with so many questions and guilt.

Lord, I pray for the family that is dealing with shock and grief. May You comfort them and send them Your peace. No one else can easen their pain. Only You can touch their heart. I pray that You be with them to help them deal with their possible feelings of guilt or regret of whatever they think they failed in towards this young girl. I pray for the little girl too, that You would hold her in Your arms and protect her future. In Jesus Name. amen

Please use even this tragedy to Your good purpose and will. I pray for the family and friends of this young girl, (especially her child), asking You to draw to salvation any who do not know You. Please send Your comforting Spirit to surround this family in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Dear Jesus I stand with K-J on this prayer. We are all so involved and alert to our problems and situatuions that we forget our neighbors and everyobe we live with. Dear Jesus you have said that we must love our enemies and our neighbors and everyone but all we do is concentrate on our families and sometimes only on our close famnilies. Dear Lord take this woman into your arms and forgive her for what she has done, allow her into your realm. Bless her child and give him peace and calm. Lord things like this should not happen and would not happen if we your prayer warriors did opur jobs properly intead of being selfish and worrying only about our own problems. Touch our hearts LOrd, touch our soulsos that we will look at the others needs first and then look at ours. This is what you did when you were among us, you gave before you took care of yourself Give us Dear Jesus the strength and determinatioin to serve you properly withut doubts and with cxourage. Thank you Lord in you we trust.
