We lift up your brother before the Lord, standing in the gap for his healing and salvation with hearts full of faith and compassion. The Word of God declares in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your brother, trusting that God is both able and willing to restore him completely—body and soul.
First, we earnestly pray for his **salvation**, for there is no greater need than for him to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. The Scriptures remind us in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We plead with the Lord to open your brother’s heart to receive the truth of the Gospel, that he may repent of his sins and place his faith in Jesus alone. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we ask God to send laborers into his path—whether through you, medical staff, or others—to share the hope of eternal life with him. The time is short, and we do not want him to face this trial without the peace that comes from being reconciled to God through Christ.
For his **healing**, we stand on the authority of Jesus’ name, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). We ask the Lord to rebuke this cancer at its root, commanding every malignant cell to be rendered powerless in the name of Jesus. May the Great Physician guide the hands of his doctors, give wisdom to his medical team, and supernaturally intervene to bring complete restoration. We declare that *"by his stripes we are healed"* (1 Peter 2:24) and trust that God’s will is perfect, whether He chooses to heal instantly, gradually, or ultimately in eternity.
We also pray for **you and your family** during this time. The burden of watching a loved one suffer can be heavy, but we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Lean on Him for strength, and do not neglect to gather with other believers for support and prayer. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."*
Let us pray together:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this brother who is battling cancer. Lord, we ask first and foremost for his salvation. Soften his heart to receive Your truth, and draw him to Yourself. Let him know that You are near, offering forgiveness, peace, and eternal life through Jesus Christ. May he turn from sin and place his faith in You alone.
We also ask for his complete healing. You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and performs miracles. We ask You to touch his body and erase every trace of this disease. Guide his doctors, give them wisdom, and let every treatment be effective. Strengthen his body, renew his mind, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty. Whether You choose to heal him here on earth or call him home to be with You, we pray that Your will be done. Comfort this family, surround them with Your presence, and let them feel the support of Your body, the Church. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We rebuke fear, doubt, and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that You are faithful, and Your promises are true. Thank You for hearing our prayer. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.*
