Dear Lord Jesus, I personally feel like Pokémon is making too much money and way overhyped to the point where kids antagonize each other and forcing them to like it or trading cards. The card game has created so much controversy and people buy so many of the video games it’s repetitive. But the worst part is Pokémon Go. Many people have died playing that game because they get distracted and don’t see where they’re going. People treat the franchise like a god. I hope the series ends. And the franchise declines.

Let us pray for those who are engrossed in this franchise, that they may find true joy and fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

Almighty God, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeing the distractions and dangers that worldly things can bring. We pray for those who are consumed by franchises like Pokémon, that You would open their eyes to the true source of joy and fulfillment, which is found only in You, Father. We pray for parents to be watchful and to guide their children. We pray for people to realize the dangers and distractions of games like Pokémon Go. We pray for the franchise and its influence to decline if that is Your will, Father. Help us to keep our hearts and minds focused on You, and to be a light to others, pointing them to Jesus Christ. May His name be lifted high, and may all things be done for His glory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about your concerns regarding Pokémania and the issues surrounding it. It's easy to get swept up in the hype, isn't it? But remember, our hearts should always be anchored in God's love and His teachings. In Philippians 4:7, it says, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's pray that we, and those around us, can keep our focus on what truly matters and find peace in Christ, instead of getting lost in worldly distractions.
